Our friends at Fat Out Fest are returning with their 2024 edition on the 20th to 22nd of September (Autumn Equinox weekend) with live shows, afterparties, workshops and exhibitions, exploring the beautiful, the experimental, the challenging and the downright rowdy!

Highlights include Brazilian music producer and artist LYZZA, provocative trailblazing East-London artist Nuha Ruby Ra, Kongolese live techno band Electroni Kongo, the thundering sounds of Japan’s QUJAKU, broadcaster, writer and DJ Zakia Sewell, Wyrd folk’ multi-instrumentalist Angeline Morrison and leading purveyor of celtic experimentalism and a master of the Scottish smallpipes Brìghde Chaimbeul

Combining sparse industrial soundscapes with pulsating beats + avant-grade, hook-filled electronics they create music demanding freedom not tolerance, with a strong message that they find no middle ground with bigotry

Their infectious energy + raw messages have seen them praised by (ourselves - naturally), Loud and Quiet Magazine, Distorted Sound Magazine, Clash Magazine + more, plus having supported the likes of Armand Hammer, Goat Girl + Protomartyr!

Marie Davidson is back(!!) + we are 1 of 2 UK dates on her freshly announced tour celebrating the release, as she headlines FAIR PLAY on the 6th of April!

After the Soulwax remix of ‘Work It’ , Davidson returns to the fold on their DEEWEE label with ‘Y.A.A.M’, an electro fist-pump produced by longtime collaborator Pierre Guerineau, a strong track addressing the power dynamics of the music industry + standing for “Your Asses Are Mine”

Our beer for this year is the brilliant local heads First Chop’s 3.6% Gluten Free Session IPA but now - for one day only - exclusively featuring artwork designed by Ra Bear (who is the mind behind all of our artwork + graphics) based upon our own branding this year which centres around growth

These are available free of charge, exclusively at FAIR PLAY 2024 to all ticket holders at the wristband exchange point, but we have a limited number so, once they’re gone they’re gone FOREVER - you’ll need to arrive early doors to get your hands on one + naturally it’s one per customer…

Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard are returning to Manchester + this time it’s as part of the FAIR PLAY 2024 line-up on the 6th of April!

The Cardiff-based, Welsh Music Prize nominated group are releasing their strong garage rock romp of a new album, Skinwalker, through Communion Music on the 12th of April which marks the band’s move towards a heavier + disquieting sound, inspired by frontman Thomas Rees’ revitalised devotion to acts such as Ty Segall, OSEES + Black Sabbath…

Local quintet, Umarells have recently been on the move, performing alongside the likes of Talk Show, Terra Twin, @, Cruush, Splint + more, up next they join us at FAIR PLAY in Manchester, on the 6th of April!

A group of old friends + new bandmates, the group channel blissed-out shoegaze, hushed vocal deliveries + an analogue warmth that oozes throughout any room + which led them to be signed by FOMO Records in August 2023...

Umarells also supported Comfort, alongside MOGAN, at one of our standalone gigs that took place in May last year + holds a special place in our hearts as our friend Eden Young was front + centre so, we're delighted to have all three acts joining us for FAIR PLAY this year as a small nod to her (+ her stellar taste)!

The world-renowned electronic musician Marie Davidson is heading to the UK this April for just two dates over here, one of which is as one of our headliners at FAIR PLAY 2024!

Active for more than a decade, Davidson’s work is characterized by her idiosyncratic vocal delivery + an ever-expansive palette of sound featuring hard-hitting percussions, haunting synth melodies + catchy lyrics

The brother-sister duo have built a reputation as a visceral live act (supporting Surfbort, Melt-Banana, Mandy, Indiana + more) with music that is a unified, cohesive sonic barrage that’s disarmingly raw + expressively forceful, by way of a multidimensional version of electronic post-punk

Shell Company are an act you need an eye on + one that you’ll next find in Manchester, at FAIR PLAY on the 6th of April!
