We were approached by Manchester City to commission 2 capsule collections to be worn by their executive team for the treble winning 2022/23 season. They became only the second English club in history to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season.

The formal capsule collection included an unconstructed suit with city embroidery, 2 handmade bespoke shirts and a bespoke tie.

The casual collection included a long sleeve bespoke polo shirt, cotton lightweight chinos, detachable quilted lining car coat and a merino wool grey sweater.

All handmade in our Manchester factory.

Frank Rostron began as a small business, making shirts for friends and family using off-cuts from local Manchester textiles factories. News quickly spread of the quality of our bespoke shirts and soon after, Frank Rostron Bespoke Shirtmakers was born.

The first Frank Rostron store opened in 1968 in a small unit on Chapel Walks in Manchester city centre. However the quality and individuality of the shirts saw Franks Rostron Bespoke Shirtmakers quickly grow; It wasn't long before the increase in business necessitated a much larger store over two floors with the factory on-site. We are in the same store today on 39 princess street in the shadow of the iconic Manchester Town Hall building.

As the quality of our shirts spread through word-of-mouth it wasn't long before Frank Rostron was established as a quality shirt maker across the Atlantic. The chance visit of a New York businessman 25 years ago sparked a demand in North America stretching from LA to New York and even further north to Toronto. North America now marks a large proportion of our customer base.

It is not uncommon for three generations of the same family to wear Frank Rostron's bespoke shirts, a fact that is telling of the quality and timelessness of the best shirts in the world. Now represented by valued customers in every major continent, here at Frank Rostron Bespoke Shirtmakers we are immensely proud of our rich, global heritage - all of which was born from a small shop in the North West of England.
