Got to "share" the literal and metaphorical journey Shomi has been on and is on right now - as he takes part in Transcon 10. 3000 miles, (unsupported!!) from Roubaix via Belgium through a host of other countries to Bulgaria in 10-15 days :-o Yeah that's 200-300 miles a day, sleeping in hedges, fixing your own punctures and mechanicals and taking on some of the biggest climbs Europe has to offer. To solve the problem he opted for the gorgeous new 2024 Orro Gold STC Ultegra 12 Speed Di2 and for longevity we went with the Fulcrum Carbon Wind 40 wheels as a good and potentially servicable Aero all round wheelset. He has just this morning completed 2000 metres of climbing in 20k or so. So I thought it was time we shared this epic effort and to ask everyone to keep their fingers crossed for him :-)

Always a pleasure when Rewind Mtb Pops in with something rare and shiny. For those not in the know this marvelous feat of engineering is a Brooklyn machine works race link, a full steel downhill bike designed to withstand anything. After restructuring of the business and its associated companies we are pleased to announce that Orange Bikes is set to continue under Ash Ball.

What does this mean?
In simple terms, we’ve strengthened our position to make us more stable, we have plans to move the entire team to its own bespoke location – from welding to marketing and everything in between we will be under one roof for the first time in our history.

As for where we go from here you can expect more awesome bikes, the same incredible customer support and the team at Orange Bikes doing things the way only we do.

Happy Christmas to all! I made it out on a Christmas Day bike ride around our great city, on my 2011 Scott Addict. Lightening fast but those 23c Schwalbe Ultremo's were a hand full on the cobbles next to Gorton Canal :-) The super light weight brakes on mucky rims didn't offer quite that sense of ultimate security discs brakes do, I have to concede, but crikey 20 mph was so easy to reach and sustain!
