The children enjoyed their trip to the book fair today! They all listened very carefully to Miss Hullah reading a story. If your child would like to buy a book, the book fair will take place on Wednesday 24th April at 15:35.
Reception are having a wonderful day to celebrate Eid! We’ve had a bounce on the bouncy castle, had our faces painted, enjoyed yummy burgers and cakes! Thank you for all of your food donations ❤️

Reception are having a lovely world book day! We went to the school assembly to watch a special performance involving a dragon and a knight! We’ve read our class story: “Whatever Next”. We have also had space themed activities in our provision, including: rocket writing, decorating glittery stars and carefully cutting out rockets to make a space scene! Thank you also to the parents for helping the children to create brilliant “book box creations”! We are looking forward to our space-themed snack this afternoon too!
Reception parents- please see the attached poster for information about our progress workshop! We will be sharing lots of information, resources and advice for how to support your child at home.
Reception have had such a fantastic morning with a visit from Paramedic Nathan! We were able to learn about how to put on a bandage, how to phone an ambulance, how paramedics make poorly people better and how to turn on sirens! The children said it was ‘awesome’! 😀
Reception have had a lovely day today! We have enjoyed a special valentines morning doing crafts, valentines playdough and valentines sensory activities and then we had a visit from a police officer as part of our real life superheroes topic! We enjoyed asking the police officer questions and seeing his car!
Reception 1 enjoyed some yummy pancakes today for pancake day! We talked about healthy and unhealthy toppings and then chose between strawberries, raspberries, honey and jam! They were delicious! 😀
Reception have really enjoyed celebrating Chinese new year today! We have tried some yummy Chinese crackers and rice, made some lovely dragon mask pictures and learnt a super dragon song! Well done Reception! 😀
Tapestry- Thank you to all of the parents and carers who have been engaging with tapestry, it has been so lovely to post updates each week and fantastic pictures of the children in school and know that these are being seen at home. The children will often say ‘please can you send a picture to my family’! Please continue to check tapestry, like the posts and comment on your children’s work! Please let any member of staff know if you need support with this! Thank you- Miss Hullah 😊
Reception Homework- in addition to our last post, here is a small sample of the fantastic homework that we have received on Tapestry! We absolutely love to see your brilliant photographs each week!
Miss Hullah and Mrs Hughes have been so impressed by the lovely homework that we have seen on Tapestry! We would love to see as much homework as possible on Tapestry or in person, homework is posted online every Friday and will relate to what children have learnt about over the week! Please speak to a member of staff if you need any support with homework or getting onto Tapestry!
It has been another busy week in Nursery 2! We have had lots of fun this week describing different patterns, painting zoo animals and retelling some of our favourite stories. 🐒🐯🐘🐍
Nursery 2 have had a fantastic day in the snow today! The children enjoyed making and decorating a snowman before coming inside to warm up with a yummy hot chocolate! ☃️☕️❄️

Reception 1 have really enjoyed children in need day! We have been making pudsey pictures, eating yummy caterpillar cakes and completing our wacky run! 😀🐛
Reminder- Today for Children in Need come in wearing something spotty. Be as creative as you like. 50p donations will be collected to help raise money for this important charity.
Children In Need is coming up on Friday 17th November and, to raise money for this good cause, the staff and children at The Link Preschool are going to be SPOTacular!

At The Link Preschool, we will be having a Halloween Spooky Week on Monday 30th October - Friday 3rd November 2023..
This Halloween Spooky Week has lots of activities planned for the children to access and enjoy. We only ask for the children to dress up in their best costume! We will be looking for the best dressed children with prizes and certificates to give out!

Last week the children at The Link Preschool were absolutely fantastic at completing the many challenges and activities set up in the classroom! They were extremely engaged and were able to talk about what they were doing! Well done everyone!
This week our focus story in Nursery has been ‘Wow! Said the owl.’ In this story, A little curious owl stays awake during daytime to see all the beautiful colours that we can see during that time. She even manages to see a beautiful rainbow! Our children have had a fantastic time drawing their own rainbows using pastels, they have also matched ‘mummy owls’ to their eggs by showing careful counting, and have continued to explore the different areas within our provision both indoors and outdoors.
At The Link Preschool, we have some fun activities set up for you this week! From finger painting shapes in our creative area to practising our scissor skills in the messy area - we cannot wait for the children to get stuck in!
Another birthday celebration at The Link Preschool! Happy birthday to one of our lovely pupils - we hope you had an amazing birthday! Thank you for bringing in some birthday cake for you and your friends to eat 🎂☺️🎂
Reception 1 have been working so hard and have been really enjoying our autumn themed activities! We have been decorating autumn leaves, counting pumpkins and finding the right number to match, making leaves from play dough, drawing stick men and sorting different shapes and colours! Well done superstars! ⭐️
