Part and parcel of the crisis

Regional president Ximo Puig has announced that on Monday (March 15) the interiors of bars and restaurants can open at 30% of total capacity.
They can use 100% of their terrace space, with a maximum of four people per table, but will still have to close at 18.00.

Restoration plan unveiled for historic complex

A €7.7 million plan has been presented to restore the jewel in Torrevieja’s crown – the historic Eras de la Sal seafront complex.
The dock and buildings were constructed at the end of the 18th century for the salt trade, with boats setting out from Torrevieja to take the ‘white gold’ to ports around the world.

A helping hand for the dunes

Native shrubs have been planted in the dunes which make up the Molina del Agua municipal park in Torrevieja. Heavy seas have washed up large amounts of sea grass, providing feeding opportunities for turnstones, which could be seen on the border of La Mata and Guardamar today.
