Daddy bonding. We were over the moon to welcome one of our lovely daddies to baby massage this week. All too often we assume that baby classes are restricted to just mummies but one of the many benefits of baby massage is that it helps promote bonding between the baby and their ‘parent’. With postnatal depression figures rising amongst men, the need for connection is ever more important. The look of love from this gorgeous little man staring up at his daddy makes my heart so full. ❤️
A fantastic article from BBC about the benefits of massage on babies. There is a very real reason that this has been practised in parts of the world for hundreds of years. Have a little read, this article reinforces everything I believe and the reason I live teaching 💕. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20210923-the-surprising-benefits-of-baby-massage?at_custom2=facebook_page&at_custom3=BBC+News&at_medium=custom7&at_custom4=08C8BB56-275D-11EC-BD57-FFF315F31EAE&at_campaign=64&at_custom1=%5Bpost+type%5D

Take my hand and come with me,
I want to teach you about ADHD.
I need you to know, I want to explain,
I have a very different brain.
Sights, sounds and thoughts collide.
What to do first? I can’t decide.
Please understand I'm not to blame,
I just can't process things the same.
Take my hand and walk with me,
Let me show you about ADHD.
I try to behave, I want to be good,
But I sometimes forget to do as I should.
Walk with me and wear my shoes,
You'll see its not the way I'd choose.
I do know what I'm supposed to do,
But my brain is slow getting the message through.
Take my hand and talk with me,
I want to tell you about ADHD.
I rarely think before I talk,
I often run when I should walk.
It's hard to get my school work done,
My thoughts are outside having fun.
I never know just where to start,
I think with my feelings and see with my heart.
Take my hand and stand by me,
I need you to know about ADHD.
It's hard to explain but I want you to know,
I can't help letting my feelings show.
Sometimes I'm angry, jealous, or sad.
I feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and mad.
I can't concentrate and I lose all my stuff.
I try really hard but it's never enough.
Take my hand and learn with me,
We need to know more about ADHD.
I worry a lot about getting things wrong,
Everything I do takes twice as long.
Everyday is exhausting for me...
Looking through the fog of ADHD.
I'm often so misunderstood,
I would change in a heartbeat if I could.
Take my hand and listen to me,
I want to share a secret about ADHD.
I want you to know there is more to me.
I'm not defined by it, you see.
I'm sensitive, kind and lots of fun.
I'm blamed for things I haven't done.
I'm the loyalist friend you'll ever know,
I just need a chance to let it show.
Take my hand and look at me,
Just forget about the ADHD.
I have real feelings just like you.
The love in my heart is just as true.
I may have a brain that can never rest,
But please understand I'm trying my best.
I want you to know, I need you to see,
I'm more than the label, I am still me!!!!

Why Pregnancy Bliss Stretch & Relax yoga courses are so good for you..
During pregnancy, we obviously put on a bit of weight, up to 40lbs infact. This weight is usually gained around our abdomen, hips, buttocks & thighs...It's a good thing because we are creating life and growing tiny humans which is simply amazing.
This increase in weight, coupled with babies positioning within the womb, can affect muscles, nerves, and the mobility of our joints. In a Pregnancy yoga class, we focus on stretching these muscles whilst protecting the joints, we learn moves that can help alleviate fluid retention, help ease back pain, hip pain and general aches that are typical in the majority of pregnancies.
These moves, together with relaxation help us to fully bring awareness into our amazing bodies whilst supporting the changes and allowing us to connect with our unborn baby/babies.
Many ladies who come to class often say that they didn't realise how much they needed to stretch until they had done a session.
To book on to the next course of Pregnancy Bliss, simply click on the book now button at the top of the page. If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me...I'm always happy to chat.

We had such a great Baby Yoga session this week. Lots of vocals supporting our songs and movement. Hearing babies enjoying the sessions is quite simply one of the best sounds in the world for me. I'm so lucky to love what I do and support all the gorgeoues mummy's and baby's. It takes a village (as the saying goes) and I love how much we all support each other.

Why come to a Pregnancy Bliss Stretch and Relax Yoga class?
One of the most common questions I get asked about pregnancy yoga is, can I come if I've never done yoga before? The answer is YES YES YES!
My classes are based on yoga but the focus is very much on stretching and relaxing those tired aching muscles.
Class always starts with a 'check in'...we are a community and my classes are very much about connecting with other expectant mummies and having a safe space to talk about the things that may be worrying you, frustrating you, exciting you...whatever it is, just knowing that others are going through the same feelings as you and that you are not alone.
We then focus on some movement, to work at stretching muscles as well as building strength and stability ready for your birthing journey.
We end each class with a deep guided relaxation to allow you to truly switch off and let go. You will then hopefully float out of class feeling a touch more blissful and ready for a good nights sleep.
To book your space on the next course please hit the book now button. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch for a chat. I hope you meet you on the mat very soon. xx

Breathing is so important and has so many wonderful benefits. When was the last time you took a couple of minutes out of your day to simply breathe? Why not try the following exercise and see if you can feel the difference?
Close your eyes and inhale slowly through your nose for a count of 3
Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 5, let the mouth drop open to allow the facial muscles to relax
Repeat for 3 breaths (or as many as you need to feel less stressed, calmer, energised or focused)
Open your eyes, take one final breath, and then continue with your day 💜
Why not take it a step further and add some of our beautiful ZEST or JOY pulse point rollerball oils to you routine. DM me if you'd like to know more x

Eye contact and touch is a vital part of babies development, and is hugely beneficial in their physical and psychological development and overall health. Massaging babies has been done for 100's of years and helps infants and children to thrive and feel confident, secure, happy and ultimately leads to healthier adults.
The entire period of infancy is dominated by right brain development, which is the seat of sensitivity to affect regulation and the foundation of emotional intelligence. It is where feelings are experienced and where the emotional behaviour and responsiveness to others cues are processed and developed.
Eye contact and touch using baby massage are fundamental in giving our children the best starts in life. We spend a lot of time in class working to understand and demonstrate the importance of both these topics and how using the techniques from the course can help give you the confidence to practice massage at home.
If you 'd like to learn more, why not sign up to the next 6 week course. Simply click the book now button or the link in bio or DM me if you have any questions.

“Throughout your pregnancy your body is your unborn baby’s universe.
You are the rivers, sunlight, earth, atmosphere, and the sky for this being growing within you.
Your baby’s body, mind and soul are intimately intertwined with your own.
Together you express the creative flow of life” ~ Deepak Chopra

Great day celebrating the grand opening of Priory Park Pavilion. Opened by the Mayor of MK and enjoyed by lots of families. Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hi.
It's no coincidence that we start to rub our tummies very early on in pregnancy, whether we are aware of it or not but, did you know that your baby's touch receptors are developing from as early as 8 weeks?
Out of all of your baby's senses, touch is the first to develop and is basically an incredible network of touch receptors that spread across the entire body and through nerve cells, track and connect back to the brain. How amazing is that.
It so important to allow yourself time to relax in your pregnancy and investing in a little self love. Ladies in my classes will hear me bang on about this all the time but its such a powerful way to acknowledge how amazing you and your bodies are. Knowing that by doing this, you are also connecting with your baby on a level that you may not have realised before. I love the thought that this is a precious moment between just the two of you.
So take some time out to connect with your baby. Take a minute or two to close your eyes, focus on the breath and visualise the baby growing inside of you. Silently communicate with your unborn child and know that your baby, can quite literally feel your loving touch.

I’ll be here on Saturday talking all things pre natal and baby yoga and massage. I’ll also be showcasing our gorgeous mummy and baby, vegan and natural products. If you are coming along to see the new pavilion, please do come and say hi, I’d love to see you 💕
When I speak to parents about baby massage, most of them think about all the benefits to baby, but did you know about the benefits that it has for us too?
Parents, who regularly massage their infants, will often find that after massaging their babies they also feel more relaxed and calm and able to cope with the stresses of looking after a baby.
It is now also widely recognised that baby massage can be highly effective for beating post-partum blues and helping mothers with postnatal depression.

Repost from - love this post from about using pressure points to relieve pain and discomfort to calm babies. This is the very reason we do foot massage and baby reflexology in our baby massage classes. The bonus is that their feet are so tiny we are sure to hit all the lovely points without even really trying. Super beneficial in helping relieve pain and therefore great for teething babies...what's not to love x
