Congratulations to 17yr old Chris Johnstone, who hit his first ton (not out) yesterday in the O'Neill Richmonds West Tyne Senior Cricket League Division 1 game away at Haltwhistle.
The result didn't quite go our way, but Chris' destructive innings was a joy to behold as he bludgeoned the ball to all parts
Congratulations to Martin McKenna on his 134 Not Out on Saturday Vs Wylam
Same again this weekend please 🏏
Both the 1st XI (home Vs Hexham Leazes CC) and 2nd XI (away at Medomsley Cricket Club) are off today due to the fantastic British weather.
Hopefully it'll dry out by next weekend!

Following the official ECB guidance, and confirmation from the O'Neill Richmonds West Tyne Senior Cricket League that this weekends matches do go ahead.
The 1s play host to Newton Cricket Club at Mitford Park with a 1pm start.
The 2s travel west to play AWAY at Medomsley Cricket Club
Players will be observing a minutes silence before the game as we remember Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
Official guidance from ECB regarding recreational cricket this weekend ⬇️
Mitford Cricket Club joins the nation in mourning the sad passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Our thoughts and condolences are with The Royal Family at this time.
Administration issues meant the scorecard from Saturday didn't hit play cricket in time for the official honours board.
But both Chris Townson and Chris Johnstone would have made it, and it would have been Townson at the top by a country mile too #1️⃣1️⃣7️⃣5️⃣
Congratulations to both players 🥇

It was another memorable day for Mitford Cricket Club as we travelled to the O'Neill Richmonds West Tyne Senior Cricket League Cup Finals Day at Tynedale Cricket Club as the Mitford 3s took on, and were victorious in a brilliant game Vs Haltwhistle Cricket Club 2nd XI.
Huge congratulations go to captain Chris Kirtley, and his Son Alex Kirtley who starred throughout the cup run, with special mentions going to our other U18s, Chris Johnstone & Luke Wigham who helped turn the game our way.
It wouldn't be a mini match report without mentioning the games man of the match, Matty Edwards, who not only contributed some l***y blows and valuable runs with the bat, but opened the bowling with impeccable spell of 4-0-13-2.
In what can only be described as a true team performance, the retention of the Div2 Cup will go down as one of this seasons biggest achievements for the mighty Mitford Boars.
