We're thinking of ways we could raise funds towards the Gala Day & Christmas Lights with the skills the team members have. We have many ideas, just not easy putting them into motion with the limited facilities & premises Whitecraig has at the moment, but start small & grow, is the way we roll 🙏
Kate has so much experience behind her with the different job roles she's had, but one we all enjoy is her sweet treats! We also have Hollie who makes lovely Fudge which we've sold at our events & it was a great hit! 😋
We're just wondering if many people would be interested in this. We would offer a delivery service at first but our bigger vision, would be finding a place where we could physically meet up as a community, in a lovely space and enjoy these sweet treats with a cuppa! ☕️
Some of the things we could offer:
☆Cheesecake
☆Scones
☆Fudge
☆Rocky Road
☆Biscoff Millionaire
☆Key Lime Pie
☆Tablet
Let us know your thoughts...
Our ideas go way beyond the Gala Day, our main focus is community 🤝 connecting & overall positive memories to be made in the village 😊
☆CHRISTMAS LIGHTS☆
114 days until 1st December, the week our lights are due to go up. The cost for the hire this year is £2058. Our 3 year contract with Festive Lighting will end in 2023. We're looking into other options available going forward to try and reduce this amount as we also have the cost of getting the lights put up which is £2000.
We'll be looking for sponsorship again as that was a great help towards the cost. We have 16 lights needing sponsored, we'll put up a separate post with the details. If anyone has more ideas to help with fundraising, please get intouch 🙏
We'd like to do a Christmas Light switch on, with the Christmas Tree. The lamppost lights just automatically go on themselves. We thought it would be a great idea for the villagers to come together during the festive period 🎄maybe do a wee bit carol singing 🗣
