FTB - SHOW Information

Hi all

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write to you all. I answered someone on messenger a while ago and thought I had then circulated that but I hadn’t for which I apologise.

I wanted to take a moment to touch base with you all in regard to the provision of FTB! Sessions and where we currently stand.

Until recently we have been very much governed by the restrictions that where in place and once we had completed the online sessions term that we ran, my intention had been to return to face to face teaching in the den.
But, in order for us to go back into the Den we had a number of requirements to which we need to adhere and as a sole trader I am not able to financially or physically meet those requirements.

The online sessions provided us with some slight relief but many found these troublesome with video quality, lagging issues, sound etc and also now the children are back to school - so am I and the faculty- as such running the classes through the daytime is no longer feasible.

The new lockdown from Thursday prevents me from teaching face to face regardless of being able to get set up. However, as I have noted even if we fall back to the previous restrictions, I am not able to provision the sessions.

I feel my only choice is to say that for now we are hitting a pause button until we can be confident that we can hold safe face to face sessions for everyone involved. That means, until such time as the rules allow for me to run every group session, which would be its own bubble - [previous restrictions meant that I cannot run them all] I am not prepared to prioritize one group over any other as all the children are equally as important to me x

I am devastated as have spent 10 long hard years building FTB! up and working with these amazing kids but the reality is their safety is and always will be paramount. I have shed so many tears over having to make this decision but know I have no option other than to keep everyone safe for now.

I promise as soon as I can make it work we will find our way back.

Some brighter news ...
We will be holding a virtual event on Zoom! So look out for the FTB! quiz night 😎 this will be a family event open to all and each family to work as a team.

❤️ Jaimie-Lee recently tied the knot with her lovely chap and she and her new hubby are expecting a little one to join their lovely little family ❤️
And
🙂 Sophie, our choreographer for our seniors, has accepted her place at Wilkes Academy and is off to fulfil her dream of becoming a professional performer. We wish you all the luck in the world, not that you will need it 🙂

Hi everyone
Just wanted to touch base and make sure that everyone was well. As you will most likely have guessed, due to the current restrictions we will not be in a position to rehearse for or have our show this year as we had planned. I am working hard with Arlington to understand what options are available to us for 2021 and will let you all know as soon as I can.
In terms of restarting teaching face to face - I am working with the Scout Den and the team there as to how we may possibly move forward for that.
Due to working in school myself, we will not be resuming FTB! sessions immediately in September to allow time to settle into new arrangements with cleaning at school etc.
As soon as I have more information then I will be in touch. For now, to all of the FTB! family, please stay safe and remember to keep washing those hands please :-)

You will need a party dress or princess costume / suit & tie or trousers and waist coat etc.

Please make sure that you bring a packed tea with you so that you are able to stop and eat at a reasonable time.

Also don’t forget to buy your tickets !!!! Remember that every body is welcome, friends and family so let’s ensure we have a great audience for all our wonderful performers 🥰

Rehearsals will be as follows:
ALL CAST 28/4/19

Arrival 9:30am please bring with you a packed lunch and some snacks for the day PLUS a refillable juice bottle. NO fizzy drinks, NO cans, NO cartons & NO NUTS [or foods containing them please] as we have a child with a severe NUT ALLERGY.

Dancers to wear - Black leggings and a black vest to - GIRLS / black tracks and a vest - BOYS - this will allow us to run costume checks whilst we have the crews together.
