Dad made it back for NKC Round 2 at Forest Edge! 🙌🎉
Full race report.
The weekend didn’t get off to the best start, I arrived late on Friday as I had to sit my A level. When I got on track we discovered the new seat dad had spent ages fitting throughout the week had been labelled incorrectly and was way too big.
Dad has always said he would never put a seat in track side, well that bit him on the bum!
Grateful to Ollie and used OTK for providing me with a replacement seat and Andy helping dad with fitting it.
Saturday the weather was amazing, Lee came to help take the load off dad. Good job as I had them working hard trying to figure out a handling issue.
Race day brought more challenges with interchangeable weather causing many set up changes.
First heat (slicks) was good starting 20th and finishing 6th still struggling with this handling issue but good pace and moving forward ✅
Second heat (slicks) starting 20th again. I moved through the field quickly, unfortunately contact with a driver turning in to me whilst I was overtaking caused me to drop to last. I was able to get the kart going and then the rain fell to my advantage. I was quick in these conditions and made 9 overtakes in the last two laps bringing me back to 20th 🫤
Third heat was wet. I started 5th, worked my way to p2. Was closing down on p1 but decided to settle for 2nd and not risk a good finishing position battling for 1 position in a heat when I had already lost good points in heat 2 ✅
The rain seemed to have left for the day so we set about preparing the kart for a dry final but still having this handling issue looming. Fortunately I was offered some advice from a karting great which had a positive impact on the issue. I started 14th for the final and was once again moving forward up into 4th when a red flag was shown 4m into race due to a heavy down poor.
To be honest I was slightly disappointed as I was handling my slick tyres like a pro 😅
Final take 2!
Full race restart with the wets on, back in 14th. A confident drive saw me finish 3rd making up 11 positions, had the pace to challenge for a win but too much ground between us top 3👍🙌
Thanks to my supporters

Special thanks to all in the TT motorsport awning this weekend with a special mention for Lee, the support you have given dad and me has been above and beyond and we appreciate you.
To the National Kart Cup organisers, your understanding, flexibility and willingness to help ensure dad can mange so I can race has been phenomenal- thank you! 🙏🏻
Let’s not forget the orange army, paramedics, club organisers and officials 🙌🙏🏻🙌🙏🏻🙌
Quick stop to race the SC plate at Forest this weekend before cracking on with the exams and then onto round 3 at Dunkeswell
It's RACE WEEK! We'll be live all Sunday ( from 9AM!) with all the action from a new track for all of us - Forest Edge - We're all ridiculously excited to bring you the racing drama!
NKC 2024 Championship got under way this weekend at Clay pigeon race way.
We’ve been looking forward to running the 1 plate but with dad having a heart attack 10days before everything was thrown into turmoil!
5days pre race and dad was re-admitted and bizarrely without anyone knowing the offers to get me on track were pinging through.
Soooo firstly thank you Oscar, you went out of your way to pack me up and take me there. Ryan and Andy got the kart and engines built up and along with the rest of the team TT Motorsport looked out for me all weekend. Ian Amour stepped up to spanner for the weekend. All of you going out of your way to support us means so much.
Over all a really positive weekend picking up decent points but the weekend wasn’t without its challenges, I didn’t have my race chassis, didn’t have time to set up the new Wright engine so went with the older one which didn’t match the pace of the new motors and then I struggled with the feel of the race tyres. However the only plan I had was to try for top 10 in all races, so we smashed that one.
Heat 1 🔵 💡 to 🏁 P1
Heat 3🔵 📈 up 11 to P7
Heat 5🔵 📈up 16 to P10
Finishing 6th overall from 60 drivers.
Thanks as always goes to

Forest Round 1
Bit of a disappointing end to what was looking to be a really promising day.
After being on it, confident and fast through all heats the final didn’t go as expected! Unfortunately mechanical issues meant I was out of my P3 position for the start with no opportunity given for me to regain my position the race got under way with me down in 19th. The recovery drive wasn’t smooth either with yet another brake issue, some dubious driving standards and then picking up a nose cone when a kart suddenly broke down in front of me. To round off the race I picked up a 10s penalty which to be fair was totally on me.
Frustrating…
But as they say that’s racing!
Thanks to all for your support.
for the continuous power
my ‘head’ man and for all the support from those under the awning this weekend.
And most importantly the main spanner man
Huge well done to all the other lads under the awning too.
Made up to receive this as the winner of the NKC senior max 2023 championship. Thank you Burry🤗
About time I posted the race report!
FEKC R9
A rather damp start to race day and the sun shining equalled tyre dilemma for heat 1!
Admittedly I was a bit dubious but we opted for slicks and it was the right choice by far. Finishing 2nd with fastest lap 🟣
The next two heats weren’t without challenges, having to take evasive action to avoid a collision in heat 2 and then being pushed off track in heat 3.
Nevertheless with the kart under me I was able to make up positions, gain good points and put it in P2 for the start of the final 😅
Final:
I took the lead by the first corner and pushed away taking the kart behind with me. I was able to manage my pace and my gap, pulling enough out of the Sodi kart to answer any attempt to close in, setting purple lap after purple lap.
We had a good 2s gap back to 3rd when the Battenberg came out and bunched us all up again 😮💨
The green flag was waved with not much time left on the clock - which made for a tense restart! However eyes forward for the chequered flag.
2nd place gave it everything he had and despite putting in a blistering purple last lap it wasn’t enough and I lead every lap to take a well earned win.

Something different this weekend trying out the Sodi Chassis and running in a team awning.
So firstly thanks to Bradley for the opportunity, safe to say I absolutely loved the chassis!
Teamed with our trusty it was a sweet package that had me running 🟣 epic pace in all conditions 🙌
Lastly and most importantly thanks to on the spanner’s all weekend - top job!👌
After some really challenging and frustrating rounds at FEKC this year it was great to end the season on the top step 🏁

So we headed to for the last round of the National Kart cup championship this weekend.
After two very strong rounds boosting me up the table I started the day tying points with 3rd and trailing 1st place by 16.
A solid weekend, a mature drive and a very tense wait for the results to be issued saw me out score the championship leader to take the championship title by a mere 3 points!! 😅
On the whole we’ve really enjoyed the championship and the challenge of different tracks. Thank you for all your hard work.
Well done to our pit Buddies, Ryan for taking 3rd in the 177 and to Mason on his Junior max championship.. Not bad for a bunch of Dad and lads 💪
Mega thanks to for providing the race/championship winning power, truly couldn’t do any of this without your support.
Most importantly thank you to my ma and pa.
NKC Fullbeck R5 WINNER 🏆
Perfect end to a very challenging weekend!
Really do owe this one to & Dad for loaning me their spare chassis at the last hour.
Special thanks to for their continuous support
Most importantly thanks to my dad - quite possibly the most stressful and strenuous weekend I’ve put him through. I might even forgive him for not putting the fuel cap on properly 🙈
Lastly well done to my pit pals Ryan and Mason who sadly didn’t leave with the results their driving deserved.
White is back for the CKC round this weekend.
Bit of grass roots fun and fitness in store this weekend 👌
A snap from Forest August round.
Bit of a delayed race report.
H1
22nd - 19th Brake issues and a penalty 🙈
H2
8th - 5th was running comfortably in 3rd until the Battenberg bunched the pack up, got caught in a scuffle and lost a few places on the last lap.
H3
3rd - DNF driven over at start picking up damage to radiator and a punctured tyre.
Quality drive in the final going from 16th to 5th and fastest lap.
Bit of a what could of been day but all is well when you get off the kart smiling.
Thanks to delivering the power 👌
Exactly 6yrs between getting off Novice plates and L plates 🤣
Round 4 at
A very strong weekend. Putting to bed some gremlins saw me putting in top pace throughout the weekend and putting it down in P3 to start the final.
Final was challenging with the conditions but a clean solid drive got me onto the 2nd step of the podium.
Thanks goes to - my dad and to team Ryan and Mason for the help and support over the weekend.
NKC Round 3
Huge thanks to Wright Racing Engines - power & set ups were spot on 👌Also to all at the National Kart Cup and Mansell Kart Racing Club for putting on a great meeting.
We had a challenging day Saturday, trying to find a set up and then performance issue with a component on the top engine we had no choice but to play safe and throw on the 2nd engine and the best set up of the day for the first heat on Saturday afternoon 😅
The heats were solid and with the set up tweaks we managed to achieve a p10 starting position for the final.
Many drivers opted to put in their 2nd set of tires for the final where we chose to keep on our 1st. After initially moving up the order the newer tyres around me kicked in and I dropped back. I was under pressure for the entire race, finished a respectable 11th. Nearly 60 drivers in class this round so happy with that!
Well done to my pit buddies Ryan Taylor-Trueman Racing taking the win in 177’s & Mason Perren on 2nd place in Juniors.
Hopefully the podium will swing my way soon 🏁🏁🏁

Forest Edge Southern Cgamps weekend
Challenging weekend in the seat and for dad on the spanner’s.
With set up issues, mechanical failures, penalties and incidents it was hard not to be dejected.
However to focus on what’s important; lots learned and plenty of overtakes made.
The final, before the last lap ‘wipe out’ I had the pace and drove a steady clean race. Going from 20th to 7th showing my true driving capability.
Thanks to all those that make this possible for me:
Mum and Dad for their hard work.
Ollie Hancock for the hospitality.
Charlie Turner for the tips and advice
Wright Racing Engines for their continuous support and power.
pics 🔥🔥
Trip to the homeland for the CKC Rd3.
Clean sweep of wins and 🟣 fastest laps.
The final saw a lights to flag victory after controlling the start perfectly to leave the chasing pack behind.
With no need to push I gently increased my lead throughout the race.
Thanks to all at Camberley Kart Club for a great day.
