CHEROKEE SMOKE - A daiquiri made with blood orange, passion fruit, spiced rum and .distillery whiskey. This special cocktail infuses the natural sweetness of the fruit with a spice hit from the rum and the smoky flavours of whisky. Every sip is a genuine flavour journey.
MINTED KEEMA PAV - Minced lamb, petit pois with a homemade chilli garlic pav (soft & fluffy Indian bread bun). This little gem of a small plate is part of our early evening special menu.

Early birds will be able to tuck into Indian dishes such as Akuri Toast, Aloo Paratha, Masala Mash & Pooris. While sipping on healthy smoothies, home-squeezed orange juices, lassis, morning cocktails and teas and coffees.
THE ONE YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR - our final dish on the Valentine’s menu is Mawa Cake. It’s a date and cottage cheese sticky toffee cake with ice cream!
Poppadoms, pre-starter, starter, main, side, dessert and a cocktail all for £49pp. This is one not to be missed!
BIT ON THE SIDE - to accompany our Valentine’s main dishes we have Josper smoked vegetables, berry pulao rice and a rosemary naan. A feast for lovers or friends we’re taking bookings now for the 14th.
VALENTINE’S MAIN NO.2 - in addition to the crispy lamb chops (see previous post) we have Burrata Butter Chicken. Braised boneless chicken cooked in a tomato fenugreek sauce. You get both mains to share between 2. Win win!

NYE OPENING HOURS - this New Years Eve we are open all day from 10am. If you’re not one for going out NYE we have you covered with either breakfast or lunch. Tables available from 10am-4pm. BRITISH CURRY DAY - today we celebrate . This annual event celebrates the extraordinary blend of South Asian and British cultures through the lens of curry. We are showcasing our Old Delhi Butter Chicken. This smokey, tomato based curry was was developed at the Moti Mahal restaurant in Old Delhi, making its way to Britain in the 60s and 70s. As Indian restaurants sprouted across the country, Butter Chicken found its place on their menus, captivating the British palate.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FEVER - as prepare to welcome in the this evening, we welcomed French footballing legend and former Newcastle FC winger David Ginola, and Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to Khai Khai.
Our city is gripped by Champions League fever and it’s fantastic to see the energy pulsate through our wonderful Newcastle. Everything crossed for a win at St James Park tonight.

WHO’S FOR VINDALOO? - We have added Beef Vindaloo to our heritage dishes. It’s an incredibly flavourful and fragrant dish with a powerful kick of heat.
Vindaloo is normally regarded as an Indian curry, but in fact is a Goan adaptation of the Portuguese dish ‘carne de vinho e alhos’.
