Carved into a lime branch.

Deffo need a proper carving knife. Managed to cut his mustache off 3 times and had to keep carving deeper to fix it. But I really like how he turned out.

Not too shabby for a first attempt imo. Also I learned a lot from this project as well as enjoying it and finding it therapeutic. (For the most part)
Finished with a simple coffee stain.

P.s. My fingers hurt.

*Boho granny square sling bag* 🧶🌹

Adding fabric inside of crochet strengthens and prolonged the life of your bag, prevents catching of stitches etc, or anything falling through any gaps in the stitching. Plus it looks pretty too.

So although I have previously lined a different bag I made with fabric, I just hand sewed the lining in last time. (An absolute labour of love)
With this one I used a sewing machine to sew the lining itself, and then to sew the lining to the crochet bag.
Took a few tries to get it right but I love it.
I am going to unpick some of the untidy hem stitches out now it's attached to the bag and isn't going anywhere.
The lining fabric was recycled and repurposed from an old dress I don't wear anymore.

I'm really pleased with the finished result, as it's definitely something I will get a lot of use out of, and I've also used a new technique by combining the sewing machine with crochet.

☀️ Little project in between the bigger ones.
I will stiffen these with cornstarch and block them.
Considering adding a mirror in the centre.
I think they're so cute.
They look a bit like cogs and wheels laid out like this.

These will be hung up round my flat ❤️

Also to add, this is an upcycle project as I crocheted round thrifted bangles from the charity shop.
