Beautiful day at Number One, lovely and warm, lovely people, lovely relaxed atmosphere and lovely work from our ( 45!!) independent artists and makers.
New work from Ord originals, contemporary, unique and really quite fascinating. We have little mirrors, placemats, coasters and surface protectors brightening up the top corner in the gallery.
Had a quick tutorial from Stewart on the origins of the different styles of handles he carves for his sticks ( who would have guessed!) and the outside of Number One is looking so lovely...had to squeeze it in somewhere!

In other news the weather has been dreich but thank you to all our visitors, a 'bit' of rain hasn't dampened your enthusiasm! We thrive on the positive feedback and compliments and of course it's down to our talented artists and makers and their ever changing work, we always have something new to offer....thanks guys.x

John's houses and Caroles cat bottles look great together in one of our glass cabinets ( and we have so many more full of wonderful pieces). We love the way the gallery displays change so often as our artists and makers are constantly updating and replenishing their work....Ruby Jones is in the gallery today with her jewellery and her puppy!

Shopping with small independent businesses has so many obvious wide reaching benefits...not least to you. Such choice, quality, uniqueness and the personal touch make it a pleasure. AND you can feel happy that you've helped a maker/ designer along the way. AND you know your purchase has been made with care, skill and love. AND you will be supporting the local economy. AND- well - need I go on? Come and visit, we guarantee you will enjoy browsing. 😉
