The Black Gate Combat Academy started life as "Kielder Hird" back in February 2013 to provide training in historical combat for stage, screen and live demonstrations. 15 months later following an awesome venue change we became The Black Gate Combat Academy. Despite once again moving venues due to increased numbers of members, we have decided to retain the name of this awesome North East landmark.
