Clinic Update
Just to confirm during the present Lock Down I am still able to offer face to face treatments for Existing Patients at Freshwater & Watchbell House Clinics.
It is recommended that you should only book if your are currently suffering pain / discomfort and not put yourself at risk to attend Clinic for a “check up” without symptoms. You can book on line for Freshwater on the Book Now button.
Treatments will continue to be delivered with a high level of infectious control. This will include mandatory patient pre-arrival and pre-treatment COVID-19 triage process, high level single use PPE and strict post treatment Clinic cleaning process, to help protect the safety of all.
If you are considered to be Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (you would have been notified by the NHS or your GP) you will need the permission of your lead physician before you book to attend our Clinic.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or been told to isolate please do not book an appointment or attend clinic until you are clear to do so.
At present I am still unable to routinely offer New Patients appointments although there may be some situations that I will be able to offer help
Thank you for your continued support, stay safe
Shaun
Clinic Update
I will be starting back at Watchbell House from the 3rd of August.
At the moment this will be Mondays only following the same appointment process as Freshwater; treatments an hour apart, 30 minutes for the treatment and 30 minutes for clinic cleaning.
Our COVID-19 form will need to be completed before arrival and only existing patients at the moment.
As things progress I’ll hopefully be able to increase capacity at Watchbell.
Thank you for your support

Clinic Opening Update
I have now re-commence face to face treatment at Freshwater Clinic.
I have been working for the past week to see and book in those that have been patiently waiting for me to open and I am now in a position to re-open my online booking for Freshwater Clinic. Colleges are treating at Watchbell House and I am currently monitoring the practicalities of re-starting my clinic days there.
Treatment will be different with many process to follow to ensure the safety of all. If you are considered to be in a “high risk’ group I can not currently see you in clinic unless your lead physician has agreed you can attend. At present I am also unable to offer new patients an appointment., as the situation develops so will my processes.
Below I have posted some information on our current COVID-19 processes and a bit of guidance what to expect when you turn up to Clinic
Thank you for your patience & understanding
Shaun
So the long road to reopening has started, as a group of McTimoney Chiropractor’s on the Island we have been working to develop a safe process through the legal, professional and government guidance to deliver a safe practice.
As you can read below a limited service is now available from Watchbell and will be constantly reviewed to ensure compliance with all appropriate guideline.
Myself, as with other Chiropractor’s, will wait to see the situation in June before making any decisions on re-opening.
In my case this is due to the risk to my own health, as I am asthmatic, which is also one of the conditions that prevents a chiropractor from treating you.
As things improve I’m hopeful these restrictions to practice will be eased and I will be able to practice again.
Until then stay well and keep your distance!
I have taken the decision to stop face to face treatments from Monday 23 March. I will monitor the situation and risks providing updates and will recommence face to face treatments when it is safe to do so.
This is a difficult decision and I know not having treatment available may have a negative impact on the quality of life for some of my patients, but I have come to the conclusion that the risk of exposure to Covid-19 to my patients is not worth the risk.
I would rather you had some discomfort but remain safe and healthy. I will happily work overtime (being self employed I will probably have to) when it’s safe to do so.
I will explore the possibilities of video consultations with rehab programs, the systems I use has a safe encrypted capability for this if patients think this will help?
In the mean time my Paramedic registration will be temporarily restored allowing me to see what help I can give the NHS.
Please all follow the national guidance we have been given and keep yourself, your loved ones and everyone else’s loved ones safe.
Thank you for your understanding
Shaun
The General Chiropractic Council (our regulatory body) has just published advice to Chiropractors confirming there is no requirement to close clinics or stop treatment as long as appropriate infection control procedures are followed and patients presenting with Covid-19 symptoms know not to attend and know where to get help.
These measures are already in place at our Freshwater and Watchbell House Clinic, as per my post below.
These measures are important for your and our health. It is also important to ensure we are able to keep our clinics open, to maintain access to our services to those in need and preventing our patents presenting to their GP or Emergency Department.
Thank you for your understanding and support
Shaun
CORONAVIRUS
During the following months people will obviously be concerned about attending clinic and having a treatment.
The Clinic will be following enhanced infectious control procedures between each patient visit and will ensure we maintain compliance with all relevant guidance during this period to ensure patient and practitioner safety. This may include short notice cancellations if there is a need for the practitioner to self isolate.
I would also ask all booked patients to comply with the notice below to ensure they do not put at risk our service to others, there will be no late notice cancellation fee.
Thank you for your understanding and support over the coming months, please look after yourselves and each other.
Shaun
I have been having a few issues with the Book now button, which I now have hopefully sorted so the link to the on line booking for the Freshwater clinic is now live again.
I also took the opportunity to make available a view of the availability at Watchbell House Clinic. Unfortunately I can not make on line booking for Watchbell live at the moment as I can not be sure the availability shown is completely accurate so at this stage you will still need to phone the Watchbell on 522477.
However this is improving so I will hopefully get it live soon.
Over the next few days I will be changing my clinics system (Jane App), this will remove the ability to book on line for a few days at most, but hopfuly it will be worth it.
My patients will receive a welcome email explaining the changes.
I will post again when were up and running and have reinstated the on-line booking.
Thank you for your patience and support 😀
