Mixing up styles in this transitional kitchen we designed for a client earlier this year 💙

What exactly is “transitional” style? 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a style that mixes traditional and modern design elements and has become very popular in the world of kitchen design over the last few years. If you can’t decide between modern and traditional, then this is a great option as it gives you the best of both worlds👌🏼

In this kitchen, we paired contemporary slab doors with a traditional patterned tile and warm oak flooring. Do you like? 🤍

We did a grey marble effect tile, modern white sanitaryware and satin brass fixtures ✨

Sometimes the best design is the most simple 👌🏼

(Also it wouldn’t be an EQD bathroom without my trusty soaps! 🧴)

Our Dining Table 🖤

We have a lot of straight lines in our kitchen/living area so thought it would balance out the space by adding a pill-shaped dining table. The curved edges are so much softer than having something rectangular in here, and also allow for extra chairs to be added when we have visitors 👌🏼

We chose a marble top that complements the kitchen quartz without being too “matchy-matchy.” 🤍

When choosing a dining table, a lot of people make the mistake of getting one that is too small for their space, which makes your room appear smaller. My advice would be to max out the space you have available and go as big as you can (without being cramped of course!) ☺️

Indoor/Outdoor living space we designed for a client over the Summer 🍂🔥

How cosy would this be snuggling up here in the colder Autumn evenings? 🍁🤎

Green with envy over our client’s beautiful “country chic” living room concept 💚

Our client had a beautiful existing fireplace and two traditional sofas she wanted to keep so we designed the room around them 🛋🔥

We incorporated detailed wall panelling and coving to add character to the space, engineered walnut flooring, and a gorgeous moss green paint on the walls.

Sockets & Switches ⚡️

We went with a satin brass finish from for the rooms downstairs and with a standard white for some of the lesser-used rooms upstairs 🤍

A good money-saving tip is to splurge on your sockets & switches in the rooms that get the most use and save on the ones that don’t! 💸

Studio apartment design for a recent client 🕊✨👌🏼

In this tiny footprint, we were able to accommodate a kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom for our client - no walls required! 🍽 🛋 🛌

In a small space like this, a light monochrome palette works really well and editing is KEY! We kept the decor and styling minimal and made this space all about the functionality 🤍

It’s true what they say… good things really do come in small packages! 🫶🏼

Níall’s claim to fame is he is an All Ireland Irish dancing champion 👏🏼 Who knew we had our very own Michael Flatley on the team?! 👞☘️🕺🏻

I adore this mossy green and it is becoming so popular for kitchens! If you’re thinking of adding some colour to your kitchen but want something you won’t get sick of after a few years I think you could be onto a winner with this beautiful hue. Earthy greens are the new neutrals 🌿🤎👌🏼

When it comes to styling bedrooms, I usually go quite minimal to keep it calm and relaxing. Just a few family photos or sentimental pieces is enough ❤️
