SUMMER RUGBY CAMP - CANCELLED TONIGHT

Good evening everyone.

Unfortunately we have taken the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Summer Rugby Fest.

WE WILL BE BACK ON NEXT THURSDAY AS PLANNED.

Unfortunately most of our coaches are unwell, so we cannot provide enough cover tonight to safely run the session. We’re very sorry.

Hopefully we will see you all again next week!

Captains Announced!

We're delighted to announce the captains & vice captains for the upcoming season here at North Shields RFC.

For the 1st XV we have a change at the helm. Ben Marshall will be our new captain ably supported by George Stoddart as vice captain.

We're also delighted to announce that Andy Miller & Will Evans will remain 2nd XV captain and vice captain respectively.

Jason Turner – Interim Chair of Rugby "With Ben being appointed as the club captain, and George serving as his vice captain, this leadership team is expected to bring a blend of experience and fresh perspectives to the club with the aim of driving success both on and off the field. George has done a fantastic job over the past couple of years and we are delighted to retain his knowledge and experience within the leadership team. The standards of rugby within DN2 are constantly improving and under Ben's captaincy, we are looking forward to continual progression to our overall goals. With support from George, we will be looking to improve the strength and depth of the team solidifying cohesion and performances in an already established team.”

I am also delighted to announce the appointment of Andy and Will as captain and vice captain of the 2XV. Our 2XV are integral to our overall success and have continued to develop with successive cup final appearances. I very much look forward to that continuing as a theme going into the new season

We have some very clear and ambitious plans for the club and we are looking forward to a very exciting season ahead at North Shields RFC."

We’re at South Wellfield First School from 12-3pm today for their annual summer fayre!
This is the 3rd year running we’ve helped out with a rugby assault course for the kids!
