🌟 Celebrating Mick Pilcher, Winner of the Rose of Northamptonshire Award! 🌟
We are thrilled to announce that Mick Pilcher, one of our most dedicated volunteers at SCCYC, has been honoured with the prestigious Rose of Northamptonshire Award! 🎉
• Mick has been on the front line of our Food Aid service since the pandemic began in 2020, delivering food parcels and essential resources to vulnerable community members. Over the past 4.5 years, he has helped thousands of people in need with unwavering dedication and compassion.
• More than just a driver, Mick takes the time to connect with each client, offering much-needed conversation and checking in on their well-being. He never hesitates to report any concerns back to our welfare team, ensuring that no one falls through the cracks. Mick even uses his own van for deliveries, never claiming expenses, and steps up to collect donations when needed.
• Beyond his official role, Mick is a cherished part of the SCCYC team. He’s always ready to share ideas to improve our service and takes time to socialize with volunteers, staff, and community members. His caring spirit truly makes a difference, especially for those who may go days without seeing anyone.
Mick's commitment to the community is inspiring, and we’re incredibly proud to see him recognised for his selfless service. Congratulations, Mick, on this well-deserved award! 🌹
