We have a new drinks machine in our Waiting Room for our visitors to use. Here’s our lovely Chapel Attendant Dominique trying it out. This is for anyone waiting to attend a funeral but also visitors to our Gardens as well as our funeral service colleagues ☕️

This morning our Business Leader Debbie and Sharon from Foxes Funeral Directors in Cromer visited the Gardening Club in Sheringham run by local charity The Healing Harbour. Through profits from our metal recycling scheme we were able to donate to this worthwhile charity which offers complementary therapies including reflexology, reiki and aromatherapy to those with with terminal diagnosis and life limiting illness. The charity also runs free workshops on Palliative and End of Life Care, Loss and Bereavement. Such a worthwhile cause. If you or anyone you know could benefit from the good work this charity does, please contact Alison on [email protected].

Please bear with us while we get round to weeding every bed. The theft of our machinery has slowed us down. We are all getting out and helping our grounds team when we can. This is our Cremator Technician doing his bit between services. Just waiting for some extra security for our Grounds Workshop before we can get back to normal. Thank you to all our families for your understanding and patience. 🌺

Thanks to Felthorpe based tree surgeon Martin Dickinson for lending us his ride-on mower so that we can get on with mowing larger grassed areas. We are so grateful for all the community support we have received since the awful theft ❤️❤️❤️

Warning. Please be aware of these despicable scams. All livestreams of funeral services or recorded tributes are booked through the funeral director. Please do not give bank details or payment to anyone else purporting to provide this service. If you are unsure if a call or email is legitimate, please call us on 01603 897727 or your funeral director for advice. Shocking that scammers would prey on families at such a vulnerable time in their lives. 😡

So sorry to hear about Kate. We loved working with her at St Faiths and we know she helped many families through difficult times. Rest peacefully Kate. 💔

Lovely to see this 13 year old labradoodle visiting our gardens. Just a reminder that well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome in our gardens and also at our funeral services 🐶❤️🐶

Congratulations Ivan Fisher Independent Funeral Homes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Today is a special anniversary for me, it marks 25 years since I first began my career as a funeral director. Little did I think on that first day, filled with trepidation, that 25 years later I would have a company bearing my own name, three offices, a fleet of vehicles and a band of exceptional colleagues. I would like to thank all the people who have worked with me to build the Ivan Fisher Funeral Homes name and of course, most importantly, I’d like to thank the families who have trusted us to care for them and their loved ones over the years. Surrounded by my family, my loyal team and with the unwavering support of you, our clients, I look forward to what the next 25 years has in store.

Thank you, Ivan

Thank you again to everyone who has shown such support and kindness over the last few days. Every single person who shared our post has helped. It has truly lifted our spirits. Thanks to our wonderful colleagues at Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park normal service is starting to resume. Once again, if you do have any information in relation to this crime, please call Norfolk Police. 🌺 ❤️🌺

UPDATE: We are absolutely blown away by the kindness and offers of support our wonderful local community has shown to us at St Faiths. Our premises is still not secure but our lovely friends at Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park and Martin Dickinson tree surgeon have offered to lend us tools and machinery which we can pick up and return each day for security. We will continue to work as hard as we can to keep our gardens lovely for our families. Once again thank you to all who shared this post and helped us back on our feet. If anyone hears anything which may help the police investigation, please contact Aylsham Police Station. ❤️❤️❤️❤️We are sad to report that in the early hours of Saturday morning our Grounds Workshop was broken into. The thieves stole every piece of machinery and power tool that we have. This is both an appeal to anyone who may have seen anything to let us know and also an apology to our lovely families that it will take time to secure the premises and get back to our normal level of service in the Gardens. Also please, please let us know if you are offered any gardening equipment at a knock down price so that we can alert the police. We are so disappointed that anyone could stoop so low as to steal from a cemetery. Please bear with us while we try to get back to normal. We would be grateful for as many shares of this post as possible 💔

We are offering families the opportunity to replace their rose if it is not doing well with an evergreen shrub. Roses have not been thriving for the last few years and we have identified three particular shrubs that like our soil. They are choisya, pieris and skimmia. If you would like to discuss this with us, please call on 01603 897727.

Lovely ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Today I lead a service for a true gentleman, who typified this quote as well as a good friend saying of him 'Never have I used the word ‘Gentleman’ in a more sincere way.’ A well known, and well loved, footballer for Reepham F.C., Gothic F.C. and Gorleston F.C. in the 1960s. A prolific goal scorer, who would regularly score more than 40 goals a season. He was a loved father, grandfather and godfather too and it was a touching moment, when his granddaughter spoke about her special relationship with her ‘Pop’. As with old fashioned football terraces, it was ‘standing room only’ at St Faiths, with about 150 people attending. Having heard about the light he’d brought into so many people’s lives, it was fitting that the music for the reflection and visual tribute was ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ by Morcombe and Wise. Not only that, there were so many happy photos of him, that the music had to be played twice – and still ran out before the photos did. Thank you Allcock Family Funeral Services and St Faiths Crematorium - I think we did him proud. Becs

Loving the colours in our Wildflower Meadow. It’s starting to become a popular resting place for ashes. So pretty and peaceful 🌸🤍

Our stream area for ashes scattering with our Remembrance Bench to sit and remember that special person. There’s something about being by the water that is so peaceful …..

Wow! ❤️

It's always lovely to have something deeply unique and personal to help celebrate an individuals final journey, and today at St Faiths Crematorium we had one of only 2 'high bikes' as made by Eric and his two brothers. He could often be seen riding around the local area on one of these, and he must have created quite a stir wherever he went!
Eric was an inventor, an ace ten pin bowler, a cycle speedway rider, an accomplished footballer, and most importantly a total gentleman. They don't make them like Eric anymore!
It was a pleasure to help celebrate Eric's life with his family and Ivan Fisher Independent Funeral Homes

We are pleased to share that Gordon Haynes Independent Funeral Services has passed the local government inspection with flying colours. Due to an incident earlier this year in Hull, by a non-regulated and non-trade body associated funeral director, we felt it was necessary and appropriate to share this with you. We are a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and follow their code of practise and standards.
Always going the extra mile and ensuring we exceed expectations.

We had another visit today from our friends at St Faiths Church of England Primary School for a Summer nature walk in our gardens. Here are some of the children in our Wildflower Meadow and checking out the bug hotel. The wildflowers were taller than the children!!! It certainly brightens our day to welcome these little ones 👫🌼☀️
