Circular Fitness: a new and unique High Intensity Circuit Training (HICT) class accessible for all!

A theme of the current Adult Circular Fitness routine is isometric core work to improve stability and strength, particular during any heavy lifting or sudden movements that you may experience in daily life.

Isometric muscle contraction just means that the muscle tenses without changing in length. All of the exercises pictured require the body's 'trunk' to stay rigid and unmoving. This requirement encourages our members to engage their core, improving their mind-muscle connection alongside their strength and stability.

Junior Circular Fitness is all about developing strength, balance and coordination in our members.

This exercise rotation has our Juniors attempting split squats, pass-arounds, and single-leg Romanian deadlifts alongside plenty of other exercises.

The split squats help improve stability in the leg muscles and balance.

The pass arounds help improve balance and core muscle engagement.

The single-leg Romanian deadlifts help balance and leg muscle activation and coordination.

If you are aged 6-14 years, why don't you come along on Fridays from 5:15-6:00pm and give these exercises a go?

We’re back round to “strength” week at Adult Circular Fitness which also means it’s time to re-test our scores!

Every 4 weeks we test our scores on our 4 key exercises as a means of tracking our progress. Progress tracking is an important tool for keeping us accountable and focused on achieving our goals. By tracking as a group, it also builds camaraderie and community spirit as we all encourage each other to get that extra repetition!

It’s endurance week for the adults at Circular Fitness!

Alongside our four “regular” exercises there’s three others designed to test your muscular endurance. This week we’ve got some adductor pull-aparts, dumbbell front holds and leg kicks to work the legs, shoulders and core!

Come along tomorrow evening for the adult class and give them a go!

With the new week comes our last rotation of exercises for the adult class on a Tuesday at The Dojo Norwich before a new routine release in February!

A few stand-out exercises for this week include:

Kickstand squats - a fantastic movement designed to develop range of motion and correct imbalances in hips, knees and ankles.

Kneeling side drags - a core-focused movement designed to develop the stabilising muscles of the core and lower back while rotating the torso.

Hi, my name is Ethan and I’m the Circular Fitness Instructor.

I am a Karate Instructor (and have been for 10 years) and Powerlifter (for the last 5 years)! I use my experiences in Martial Arts and Powerlifting to help create balanced and focused routines for the class that emphasise the importance of functional training to incorporate as part of your everyday life or to cross train from other sports!

Throwback to our last Circular Fitness session before Christmas where we all brought our best Christmas Jumpers to get into the festive spirit!

We are back to normal training at Circular Fitness with adult classes on Tuesday evenings at 7:30-8:30pm and junior classes on Friday evenings from 5:15-6:00pm at The Dojo Norwich!
