I love taking photos of Zak, my Parsons Jack Russell on our daily walks. I hope you like them also.
A stunning sunny morning today on our morning walk and Zak loved it, I haven’t told him that we’re due a real cold snap next week, but I’m ready for it, as he got a nice warm overcoat for chrimbo, but he is still crazy with his ball play, but at least he kept himself clean today.
A lovely grey morning today, with lots of people about, and a dog walker gave Zak a squeaky ball because it was driving him nuts, after Zak had it for an hour I felt this man’s pain, so I gave it to another dog walker, I hope it doesn’t circulate back to the start.
We partied till 3am, along with Zak, and he spent the time destroying three stuffed toys. We still managed to get up early for our morning walk and I was shattered, but Zak was full of beans running about for his ball while I had my coffee, then he fell asleep when we got home.
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone, I hope you have a great time. The last of the great feasts tonight and back on bananas tomorrow. Zak had a brill time tripping up the new year joggers and bumping into the duck man one last time, result. He is now zonked out on the sofa relaxing.
A lovely drizzly morning and I finally got Zak to stop barking when I throw his ball, The bells….the bells, the constant ringing in my ears, as his bark is such a high pitch, but I’ve now trained him not to bark, which is brilliant as I’m not deaf for the rest of the day. Good boy.
An absolutely brilliant morning today, nice and sunny which pleased Zak, he had a blast at his ball play the running up to every dog walker with those ‘please give me a treat, my master doesn’t feed me’ eyes. I tell you he’ll do anything for a treat, at least he kept himself clean.
What a beautiful morning it was today, so much so that we stayed out for three hours, Zak loved it, his ball play, treats, other dogs, more treats, then we popped round to a friends for a cuppa and mince pie and Zak decided to eat Ted’s food out of his bowl. Cheeky blighter.
Well it had to be done. The annual Boxing Day walk, after the previous day’s Christmas dinner, so off we went to the beach. I did take a beef breakfast with me for Zak and he scoffed it down in seconds, then we walked the beach watching the seals and pups, but I kept Zak on a lead.
Merry Christmas folks, I hope you all have a wonderful and peaceful day.🎄🎄🎅🎅 Zak’s looking forward to his pigs in blankets after his manic walk this morning with my wife and daughter, and to round it off we bumped into the duck man, so he had a nice additional Christmas treat.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere we go. Brill, and we bumped into a humongous Rottweiler and Zak started growing at it and it was beginning to get boisterous, so I gave him and Zak a treat, and that broke the ice, and they got on after that. Good boy Zak.
What a terrif morning today, Zak was lovin it, so many dog walkers about and everyone was in Christmas cheer, handing out dog treats, I’m sure Zak was well stuffed, but to top it off, Zak saw the ‘duck man’ in the distance and belted off to get his treat. What a scrounger.
Another early start in the dark, good job Zak has a white coat, so much easier to keep an eye on him, as always Zak was totally focused on his ball play until he was completely zonked. On the way home we spotted a couple of buzzards gliding about. Crows are Zak’s thing so he ignored them.
Zak drunk all his water during his ball play, so it was time to go, via the vinegar pond, and we came across an adult Muntjac with antlers on the opposite side, it stood still watching us for a while, and Zak was tempted to chase, but he stood his ground. What a sight, good boy.
What a lovely sunny morning today, even though a little chilly and muddy, and Zak is enjoying his ball play and looking at me as I type this, sitting in front of me groaning and panting and his tongue is completely covered with dirt, hang on he just closed his mouth and cleaned it. Yuk.
We set off again in dark rainy morning, and whether it was the rain, but Zak was impossible, every three foot he stopped and had a good sniff about, and that went on for a hour until he found some discarded chips and scoffed it all down before I could stop him. Then he burped.
Off early this morning, at dawn, the beauty of getting out early is you get a chance of getting sight of Muntjak‘s, and we weren’t disappointed, one belted past us as I was taking this picture, Zak didn’t make a move, (what a professional), he knew he’d get a treat for keeping still.
A lovely sunny morning today with so many dogs about, but Zak was more interested in his ball, even though at one time I had six dogs around me, but the moment I started to give them treats Zak shot back like grease lightning, because he didn’t want to miss out.
A nice mild morning today, and we bumped into the Rangers after our ball play, they were cutting trees down, and Zak was a lot happier sitting on the stump while I had a good ole natter with them, but he did expect his treat when I finished yacking. Good boy Zak.
A really lovely mild morning today, and off we went to cut some heavy branches protruding into the track, nearly pops your eye out every time I pass it, so it had to go, Zak’s so bored with it all, and demands his ball play, perhaps next time I’ll do his ball play first to stop him whining.
Not a pleasant subject this, on a freezing morning, but it does make me snigger, today is ZOMBIE day, watching dog walkers crouched over the fallen leaves looking for a scooby-doo for as long as it took us to walk the track, and it’s a long track, me and Zak giggled.
Another dwizzly morning, with tons of doggies about and Zak had a great time mingling, and after his ball play he still managed to keep himself clean, so I took his picture of the day and headed back, then I blinked and looked at Zak and he was as black as a chimney sweep. Confused.
A lovely drizzly morning today and during ball play Zak got a taste of his own medicine, a lovely Collie pinched Zak’s ball and Zak went chasing after him and they had a playground scuffle and Zak came back absolutely filthy. Me thinks it’s karma from yesterday. Another hot shower for Zak then.
A lovely mild, grey morning today, and Zak was doing so well with his ball play until a swarm of joggers past by and Zak interrupted their mojo by running next to them and dropping his ball in front of them, a couple did kick his ball back, then disappeared into the woods.
What a wonderful rainy morning today, thrashing it down like cats and dogs, brilliant. Zak wasn’t bothered and enjoyed his morning constitution of ball play, and by the time we finished he was soaked and absolutely filthy, but he’ll look forward to his nice warm shower when we get home.
A right ole mild sunny morning today, and we bumped into the crowd, ten dogs at the last count, and they all behaved themselves, especially Zak, but then he did have a good ball play and was probably cream-crackered which helped to calm him down. Well done Zak.
A grey and mild morning and we spent time watching the Rangers cutting old trees down, Zak was most curious and jumped up on a stump to get a better look, as he was interested in what all the noise was, after a while he got bored, so we went to his ball play.
Another mammoth 3 and a half hour walk in the sunshine, we had our ball play then started our hunt for holly and berries for our front door Christmas wreaf, Zak loved the extended walk but couldn’t get his head around why I kept stopping to take cuttings, and kept looking at me in confusion.
Some of the same weather today, and we went back to the pitch & putt for a jolly good ole ball play which Zak loved and got completely knackered, he also got well and truly manked up, but the plus side is that he enjoys his warm shower and clean up when we get home.
A real dull, rainy and cold morning today……..Brilliant, it was so bad that we stayed out for 3 and a half hours, Zak loved it as it was more ball play for him, and we went to the other side of the heath to the pitch and putt as there is less branches for him to chew on, which is his latest fad.
A dwizzly morning today, so not as cold, and all the squirrels were barking in the treetops, probably miffed off that all the leaves are falling and blanketing the ground, which Zak enjoys sliding and sniffing in, especially during ball play as he keeps sliding in them when he tries to stop.
Whoppee, it’s snowing, lovely winterland, hang on, 5 minutes later the sun came out and it stopped, well nice while it lasted. Zak in the meantime was oblivious to it all and just wanted to carry on with his ball play and doesn’t get as excited as me with the snow.
Another Brrrrrrr, yet sunny morning, I don’t know if it’s my style of ball throwing, but I throw it, then Zak gets the ball and pesters other dog walkers to throw his ball, I then have to entice back with a treat, then it starts over again, I think he’s more clever than I am.
Jack Frost payed us a visit last night and it was real Torvill and Dean out there, so it was a case of slowly slowly nicely nicely until we got into the woods where it was nice and squishy, but on the ball play open space it looked like we had snow as well, two flakes deep, no doubt that will grind everything to a halt.
What a lovely morning, nice and sunny with a good hint of chilly, and there seemed to be a lot of squirrels around today, which thrilled Zak to bits, even when I took the picture of Zak a squirrel appeared and Zak turned, as soon as I clicked, he shot off for a chase.
It was really bucketing down this morning (yeehaw) and we both loved it, strangely not many people about (strange that) and Zak was so excited to get going with his ball play, and barks constantly if I’m not quick enough to throw the ball out again. What a taskmaster.
Another fresh morning with the occasional thumping in the background, but Zak was better today, especially when he found a ball, so it was kick and fetch on the way back out of the heath, then he bit it in half, and he still wanted to carry on chasing it. What’s he like.
