We are offering The Self Collection HPV Test which provides the option to self-collect a vaginal specimen that is then sent to the laboratory for testing. This is priced at £249. There is well-documented high level of concordance between the HPV DNA results from self-collected and clinician-collected specimens. This service is booked as a telephone appointment. After speaking to the doctor to check your details and explain about the necessary action in the event of a positive result, a test kit will be made available for you to collect from our clinic. The Self-Collection HPV Test is validated, using a CE marked sample collection device for vaginal cell collection. This sample is then sent to the laboratory for processing for 19 high risk HPV DNA subtypes (16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 35, 39, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 26, 53, 69, 73 and 82). Results are sent by email and take around 1 week. This can be booked online. For any queries, let us know anytime.

T-SPOT immunity blood test now available:
This tests for a T cell-mediated response to Covid 19. It can be used to detect evidence of a T cell-mediated immune response to Covid 19 in people with positive PCR results but negative antibody test results for example. The T-SPOT®.COVID test results, complemented by antibody results, may give a more comprehensive view of an individual’s immune response to SARS-CoV-2. Using both T cell and antibody results give an incremental diagnostic yield. This is reported as a positive/negative. A positive test means it is highly likely that you have been exposed to the Covid 19 virus.

GLOBAL TRAVEL TASKFORCE STATEMENT:
We are currently offering in-clinic courier-delivered time-guaranteed covid PCR tests for travellers and will of course work closely with the Government and laboratories ahead of international travel reopening to see how the cost of travel for the British public can be reduced while ensuring travel is as safe as possible. The taskforce is looking into the possibility of antigen tests being used when holidaymakers return home, as well as government provided pre-departure tests. We will update you with with any changes.

We are now offering the Roche Spike Protein IgG/IgM total antibody test. This blood test enables the determination of both the presence and level of antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, which is the target of many COVID-19 vaccines,. It can can signal whether a person has already been infected and has potentially developed immunity to the virus., and plays an important part in characterising a vaccine-induced immune response.
