Join us in supporting the children in Gaza, by bringing this beautiful poetry exhibition to Norwich.
Thank you again to all of the wonderful folks who've donated to help my friend Camellia H. Salem evacuate from Gaza. I'm so touched that a good friend of ours through Tilia, has made the effort to drive over to the farm & give cash for Camellia's fund. Camellia, there are millions of people who care in the UK & we'll all work together to help you leave. Can anyone else share this post, or donate £20 please? We're looking to reach £15K but more realistically we need £20K. We can achieve this!!

I’m embarking on an independent crowdfunding journey to bring a poetry exhibition to Norfolk, fuelled by the inspiring voices of children in Gaza, Palestine. Touched by Nick Bilbrough's words during the Big Ride for Palestine 2023, I've connected with The Hands Up Project (www.handsupproject.org) to help bring this extraordinary selection of poems to the East of England. The Hands Up Project is a charity trust, which through its dedicated group of volunteers, connects children from around the world with young people in Palestine. Through online tools, the children have pioneered remote theatre, enabling them to use creativity & self-expression to promote mutual understanding, personal growth & the development of English language skills.
Through this exhibition, you’ll experience the profound beauty of 'Moon, Tell me the Truth,' a beautifully curated poetry book published by The Hands Up Project. Immerse yourself in the heartfelt expressions of children aged 9 to 15 from Gaza, through 60 illustrated poems. The exhibition will launch on Sunday 24th March at 2pm.
Eventbrite tickets are now available: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/moon-tell-me-the-truth-art-poems-from-children-in-gaza-palestine-tickets-853801081017?aff=oddtdtcreator
Nick will be present to explain all about the project and local Palestinian people will be invited to contribute to the opening. Join us for this inspiring exhibition, showcasing a selection of these poignant creations, open to everyone without charge.
I’m crowdfunding specifically for the exhibition hire costs at the Forum, Norwich, where the space will cost £70+ VAT each day. The total cost will be £672. Any money that is raised beyond this, will be donated to The Hands Up Project.
Your donation isn't just a gift; it's an investment in a special occasion that holds immeasurable significance for the children, and everyone intertwined with their stories. Join us in crafting a narrative of hope and empowerment, where every contribution helps create a ripple effect of positive change.
