Thomas Pawley
Hi, I'm Thomas, a graphic designer based in Norwich, working alongside clients, both small and large
What are brothers for? 😎
Over the last year my brother, was having difficultly keeping food down. This was a scary time for him, with multiple trips to the doctors and lots of tubes stuck down his throat.
After what seemed like forever, James was diagnosed with Achalasia, a rare disorder that affects the nerves within the lower oesophagus.
James asked me to help create a poster to promote his cycle challenge for later in the year. James is raising money for a charity funding research for…well..your guts, we decided to use their brand colours...as this will also match the fantastic cycle top that Guts UK have provided him 👌🏻
The link to James’ JustGiving page is in my bio 👆🏻 where you’ll find more about his story with Achalasia and his challenging bike ride in the Peak District.
☕️…..and…relax!
It’s the middle of the week. Stick the kettle on and let’s make time for ourselves!
Using the time it takes to make a cup of tea, want you to make time for you and your mental health. A short break in your busy day to bring it back to you.
Brew+Bear set out to do things differently, so their branding had to do the same. I created a brand identity using a minimal icon with bold lettering - for that BIG bear hug we all need from time to time, just like a lovely cup of tea.
Working with has been one of my favourite projects to work on in 2020.
Helping support them to develop an identity that reflects their business and watching it evolve has been fantastic.
Other than brand design, I really enjoy designing for social media and print packaging.
It was very rewarding to receive one of the first Brew+Bear gift boxes through the post. Seeing the logo on the gift box and printed labels, while I sipped my tea made the whole brand experience perfect 👌🏻
During the first lockdown (0.1) Brew+Bear got in contact to brand their new venture; loose leaf tea with the aim to help your mental health and wellbeing.
Brew+Bear was just an idea when they got in touch and needed someone to bring their brand to life, to create something bold and neutral with a sense of calm and here it is.
I can’t tell you how much fun I had working on this project. Being a massive tea drinker and getting to try some of the delicious tea flavours on offer was very exciting!
