Nurturing childcare in the heart of the Beeston community www.ducklingsnursery.org.uk Beeston Nursery is located next to the train station in Beeston.
We are a small, friendly nursery and each child gets very special treatment. We have a lovely, cosy, baby room for up to six babies. Our older children have the lovely Rainbow Room, Sky Room and Veranda to play in all day, as well as our amazing play garden.
To market to market…. 🍉 🍎 🍌
We love our local markets here in Beeston!
We’re so lucky to have such amazing produce and choice on the doorstep.
Even our babies and toddlers love their trips to the market to buy something yummy for their snacks and puddings here at nursery.
Happy Easter 🐣
We were blown away by a little unexpected act of kindness from our children this week 🌼
It made our day to see the value of kindness shining through from the children.
We are so grateful and our hearts are full ❤️
🌸 HAPPY 🌸 MOTHERS 🌸 DAY 🌸
With love from all of us here at Beeston Nursery Ducklings 💐💕
"Exciting news! Ducklings Nursery is thrilled to announce that we've taken on a new venture and have officially brought a third children's nursery into the fold. We have taken on the previously named Beeston Nursery .
This journey has been one of growth, learning, and incredible opportunities, and we are so grateful for the support of everyone who has been a part of this experience.
We can't wait to continue building and expanding, and we're looking forward to sharing this new chapter with all of you. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!
So the Children have really enjoyed doing lots of things for Halloween. We have finished off today with a fancy dress up day for the Children and Staff.
Barefoot sensory walks in the garden are amazing fun! 🦶
Feeling the different sensations and textures under our feet and between our toes opens up a whole new wonderful world of learning.
Being barefoot is not only beneficial for sensory explorations and developing bodily awareness and orientation but can also strengthen the joints and muscles in childrens feet and ankles which improves balance and posture and engages the arches of the feet which improves the alignments of muscles throughout the legs.
What great start to the week 🙂
Phew! It’s been hot hot hot ☀️
We have been keeping cool and safe in the sun and the heat all week and have been having lots of splashy fun with our friends in the water 💧
It's been a wonderful first day back after the summer holidays.
Nursery was alive with activity as we started building new connections, bonding with each other and developing a sense of self and community.
The children enjoyed exploring lots of sensory activities, exploring the environment and the rich resources on offer, cosying up to read books with each other, enjoying the sunshine in the garden and drawing portraits of themselves and each other.
We can't wait to do it all again tomorrow
Good Luck to everyone who will be going back to school this week, starting school for the very first time and especially to all of our special not so little people who have left us to start their new adventure at school. We miss you lots but know you will all be amazing 🤩
Today we have had Beeston Nursery band at the Nursery and the children made a stage and put chairs out for the audience to sit and listen. We all had lots of fun.
We had a wonderful time celebrating this weekend with our families at our Beeston Nursery Graduation Picnic.
It was so lovely to come together one last time before everyone leaves us to start their next big adventure at school 🥲
We are going to miss you all so much and are incredibly proud of you all ❤️
A massive thank you to The Crafty Raven for our wonderful new water bottles 💦
Keeping the team and the children hydrated in the warm summer months is super important to us and will now be even easier than ever 💕
It’s been a baking kind of week here at nursery 🧁 we love looking in our recipe books and choosing new things to make 😋
Splashing good fun 😊🎨
We were inspired by the beautiful spring blossoms and April showers to create this colourful process watercolour today 🌸🌧️🎨
It may be raining now and although we love the puddles it’s been wonderful to enjoy the sunny weather in the garden ☀️
L👀k we even had to break out the sun hats 🙂
Coming together for breakfast is the perfect start to our day ☀️🥄🥐
it’s the perfect opportunity to develop our independence and giving children complete autonomy and time to connect and communication and Instill a sense of community and togetherness before the day ahead
You won’t find cold wet wipes and paper towels here! 😇
Instead you will find soft fleecy fabric hand towels and warm soft bamboo cheeky wipes to wash and dry delicate hands and faces 🥰
We take great pride at being as sustainable as possible, and it’s not just with our hands towels! We love nothing more than recycling, reusing and repurposing materials and teaching our children about reducing waste ♻️
😴 After a busy morning playing, exploring and discovering new things, there’s nothing better than to snuggle up in our soft cosy beds with our fluffy snuggly blankets for a good sleep
Our sky room is the perfect place to view the weather ☀️ 🌧️ ❄️ ⚡️
Ice and snow had formed on the glass above. It was perfect inspiration for a spot of creative painting
That very first moment when the children go outside in the first snow of the year ❄️
Isn’t it magical ✨
How are you spending your weekend?
Our amazing dedicated team are spending theirs completing and refreshing their Paediatric first aid training.
Did you know that the minimum legal requirement is to have at least one person who is Paediatric first aid trained on site?
We're proud to exceed the minimum 😊
It has been so wonderful to have our families in nursery this week sharing books and their favourite stories with us for world book day 📖 ❤️ 🌎
Happy world book day!!📖 🌎
All week we have been sharing our favourite books and stories with each other and children have been sharing their favourite stories from home.
We have been bringing our stories alive each day through activities, props, storytelling, story scribing and dressing up 😀
The first Jo Jingles Nottingham after half term was filled with fun and laughter. We were all rocking cool new hairstyles whilst we sang and danced the afternoon away.
Looking good everyone 🎶😂
We had a wonderful pancake day this week 🥞
We explored and learnt about the ingredients needed to make pancakes and made the batter. Had fun pancake races in the garden and tested to see if we could flip them and catch them. The best part though was tasting them and adding our toppings! Yum 😋
Last week we were feeling the love here at nursery with lots of valentines day inspired activities and invitations to play.
We enjoyed learning and talking about the people, pets and things in our lives that we love❤️ 💕 🌹
We love being able to get back out in our community again ❤️
Today our babies enjoyed a lovely trip to the park whilst our other children enjoyed trips to the shops and markets to buy seeds and plants for our garden. We also loved popping down to have some fun with our friends at Rylands Rascals Toddler Group again 🙂
Lots of bubbly musical fun with Jo Jingles Nottingham. We loved going on a safari adventure too this week 🐊
