To all the incredible mothers, today we celebrate the unwavering love, sacrifice, and boundless strength we embody each day.

On this Mother's Day, may we all feel honoured and cherished for all that we are and all that we do.

While biological childbirth is one path to motherhood, it is not the only one. Adoptive mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, aunties, and guardians all exemplify the diverse forms of motherhood.

Motherhood is about the emotional bonds forged through care, empathy, and selflessness rather than solely a biological connection. It is a universal experience, embracing individuals from various walks of life, united by the profound role of nurturing and shaping the future generation.

And to those of us who carry the memory of our mothers in our hearts, may we find comfort in the love that continues to surround us, knowing that their legacy lives on through us. We are not alone; our mother's love remains eternal, guiding us with every beat of our hearts.

So, let's honour Mother's Day in every form, recognising that motherhood is not confined to one specific day. Every day of the week is an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the mothers, mother figures, and caregivers who enrich lives with their love, support, and guidance.

STATEMENT
on the 2nd October 2022
I was in my garden, gardening, when suddenly I felt my chest tighten, thinking it must have been an anxiety attack, and did nothing, my symptoms are too lengthy to go into but I continued to struggle, not giving in. The very next day I went back into the garden gardening again and was unable to even lift anything. Around 7pm my friend talked me into going to hospital driving me to Newark walk in hospital, within 15 mins it was all systems go. Becoming hysterical they had to sedate me.
All wired up, the ambulance did not arrive until 1am in the morning. I went straight in for heart surgery. The sad thing was my son Joseph Dainty drove down from Leeds to Newark instead of Kingsmill hospital and was not able to be with me. This is because the surgeon said "would you like to wait for your Son" I looked around at everyone else waiting and said "No". My surgeon said that I may die or go into cardiac arrest.... I prayed to God, telling him I have far too much still to do with my Charity. I woke up to being diagnosed with Cardio Myopathy... "Broken Heart Syndrome", 💔 I was devastated and not knowing how long my recovery was going to be, and will be on medication for the rest of my life. I am doing very well now.
My son has produced a track , vocals by female who sang with Dido. Released tomorrow, managed by Nervous Records New York who he is signed to.
I dedicate this to all who have lost loved ones, and those of you who did not get there on time before a loved one went into surgery, but who is still living....

nternational Men's Day is an annual international event celebrated on 19 November. The objectives of celebrating an International Men's Day are set out in "The Six Pillars of International Men's Day"
The aims for 2020 are to
- Make a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys
- Promote a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity
- Raise awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing
Did you know
That men have a higher male su***de rate
12 men take their lives every day
That there are specific challenges faced by boys and men at all stages of education including attainment
That men have a shorter life expectancy and are more likely to be the victim of workplace deaths (Men are more likely than women to die prematurely and one in five men dies before the age of 65 and have a 37% higher risk of dying from cancer overall, while men are 56% more likely to develop non-gender-specific cancers than women and 67% more likely to die from them)
That men are more likely to be homeless and that there is a higher rate of male deaths in custody
That 1 in 3 men have disclosed they are victims of domestic abuse and are victims of violence, including sexual violence
Who face particular challenges in relation to their rights as fathers
Today I celebrate Internation Men's Day & why because Support for Survivors Charity Support Men abused in their childhood, who are victims of domestic abuse & violence, who have suffered in early childhood education, and who are homeless and who face challenges in relation to their rights as fathers.
It is important you reach out if you are struggling in silence, you do not need to suffer or struggle in silence.
