๐ Empowering Young Hearts: Teaching Kids about Community and Caring! ๐ค๐ก
Hey everyone, let's talk about a beautiful journey we're embarking on with our young members โ teaching them the incredible value of community and the joy of giving back!
๐ก Building Connections: When kids learn about their role in the community, they discover how their actions can make a positive impact on the lives of others. It's all about fostering a sense of belonging and unity.
๐ค Kindness in Action: Teaching our children to care for others nurtures empathy and compassion. These are qualities that will shape them into thoughtful, considerate individuals.
๐ค Teamwork Triumphs: By engaging in community projects, kids learn to work together, support one another, and achieve goals that benefit everyone.
๐ฑ Lifelong Lessons: Understanding the importance of giving back sets the foundation for a lifetime of making a difference and actively participating in the betterment of society.
๐ Fundraising for Good: Launching a fundraising project with our kids is an incredible way to show them the real-world impact of their efforts. They'll see firsthand how their contributions can bring about positive change.
๐ Sparking Change: Whether it's raising funds for a local cause, supporting a charity, or helping those less fortunate, our kids will not only witness change but BE the change they want to see.
So, let's inspire our young ones to embrace their role as caring, responsible members of their community. By teaching them the art of giving, we're nurturing a generation that understands the power of unity and compassion. Together, we're shaping a brighter future for everyone. ๐

๐ Boosted Confidence: Achieving personal goals, mastering new skills, and overcoming challenges โ all of this builds a strong foundation of self-confidence that will last a lifetime.
๐ค Social Bonds: Sports provide opportunities to make friends, learn to cooperate, and develop essential social skills that are invaluable in both childhood and adulthood.

From the Team at Redbrick Academy Oldham
It's warming to see how our young members feel about being looked after by our team at Redbrick.
Today we had a pair of siblings collected earlier than usual by their mum. Upon informing them that it was home time, the youngest sibling was clearly disappointed and said 'but I don't want to go home yet. Why are they (the parent) here?'
Followed by message from another parent who separately messaged that they had an argument they had with their kids... see image below.
It was one jam-packed week. Lots of learning from all the activities and our most popular mantra this week: 'The fastest way to success is to go slowly'.
We believe children should be aware of what is happening around them so that they can appreciate their own circumstances and have a sense of responsibility towards those who are less furtunate around them.
Today Redbrick Members were learning about the Science of Earthquakes; The impact it has on people; The plight and bravery of survivors of the recent Earthquake in Turkey and Syria and the exploring the many ways humanity has come together to help those in desperation.
This also enabled our young minds to explore how they could help. They are now planning and preparing with the support of our team to bring their measure of support for those affected to life.
At Redbrick Holiday Club we have been working with children on understanding Values and Character.
Now they are working on a display project to bring these values to life in the form of 'The Tree of Character'.
A place they find inspiration, support and freedom of creativity ... No wonder they don't like being collected early.

Teaching our Oldham Members how to overcome their fears and reaching new heights.
It's always amazing to see how fast children learn by being around other children. They are inspired by what other children can do and then don't even realise they are suddenly reaching new heights themselves!
Horseriding at Daisy Nook Farm.
Amazing team and amazing to see children building confidence and enjoying it.
