Meet The S̶t̶u̶d̶e̶n̶t̶ Leader Monday 👨🏼‍🎓

Today we have decided to interview one of our fantastic group leaders, who arranges trips for students from Oman to OISC 🇴🇲

Q: Could you introduce yourself and your group?
A: I’m Amal Al Rasbi from Takatuf Oman. I lead the OQ8 Leadership and English Program, which is designed for 21 talented Omani students. Our program focuses on developing essential leadership skills and enhancing English proficiency to prepare our students for future challenges and opportunities. We are committed to fostering growth and excellence in every participant.

Q: What factors influence your decision to select a language school?
A: We prioritize selecting the right language institute to ensure that we can achieve our program goals. When choosing language institutes, we take into consideration the following factors:
1. Reputation
2. High-quality education
3. Qualified teachers
4. Location
5. Positive feedback from former students
6. Course flexibility
These factors are crucial in helping us select the best institutes for our students’ success.

Q: Can you share any success stories from your previous students about how their English improved since attending OISC?
A: Yes, we have many success stories from our students at OISC. For example, many of our students have significantly improved their English, which has helped them join the Rawad Oman Enrichment Program and compete for international scholarships. They have also scored well on English tests and gained confidence in their communication skills. These successes demonstrate how well Takatuf Oman and OISC work together to enhance English skills and create new opportunities for our students.

Meet Pietro, our Italian student who joined our English Language & Culture Summer Programme ☀️

Q: Where are you from?
A: I am from Italy, Roma 🇮🇹

Q: Why have you chosen Oxford for your summer holiday?

A: First of all, I wanted to improve my English, Second of all, I am keen on meeting new friends and gaining new experiences. And the last, but not the least, it is a good opportunity to learn how to be more responsible.

Q: Why are you learning English?
A: It is an important language, which helps people to connect with each other all over the world. I’ve started learning English since I was 6 and it became a big part of my life. I’d even say it’s my lifestyle.

Goodbyes are always the worst part of the summer! We are so lucky to have had so many fantastic students so far this month - with hundreds more to come! 🥳💖

A: I’m from Colombia

A: 9 years old.

Q: Why are you learning English?
A: English is everywhere, all the world speaks it. I want to be part of this world too.

Q: What do you like about learning English?
A: I really like grammar, because it’s challenging and very interesting.

Q: What do you do in your classes?
A: We do a lot of interesting things, but exploring the language through different fun activities.

Today it was time to say goodbye to the lovely Zohanna, who has been with us for the last 2 months.

We will miss you, but we look forward to seeing you next year! Safe journey back to Taiwan🇹🇼😄

We are so pleased to share the winning entry from our Easter Art Competition - this fantastic, moody interpretation of 'Scenes of Oxford' by our A-Level student Anita.

We love organising family programmes, and this month we have had mothers, grandmothers, uncles and fathers all joining us along with the children.
