At Blenheim Palace this morning sharing breakfast with their lovely staff who are supporting Silver Star.

So lucky to have a visit from the lovely Debbie & Graham Breakspear. They were presenting a £2500 cheque to Silver Star from their company Forward 2000.
They explained why - "As we celebrate our 25th year in business, we believe it's important to give back to our local community in a meaningful way. That's why we've chosen to support the Silver Star Maternity Fund at the JR Hospital. Their hard work and dedication provide crucial assistance to mothers and their newborns, enhancing maternal care in Oxfordshire by supplementing NHS funding with essential extras."

Forward 2000 are supporting Silver Star over the next year with various fundraising events planned.
We are truly grateful to have their amazing support.

Our Florence Park community midwives are making the most of their new facilities following the grand opening of our new clinics at the Rectory Centre.

The new facilities are in addition to their existing facilities on Rymers Lane.

Our wonderful team of Carole, Rita, Hollie & Matthew will be taking the Silver Star stall out and about this summer.

Our fabulous team of Carol, Matthew, Hollie & Rita support the Silver Star Maternity Fund by selling lots of goodies from the market stall in Sheep Street , Bicester most Fridays. So far this year they have raised £2155.83 which is fantastic!

So nice to see so many smiley faces earlier today at the new Rectory Road site. 🥰

Celebrating the opening of the Rectory Road site run by the Florence Park midwives. Silver Star are delighted to have supported this amazing space which will benefit so many families in East Oxford.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing group of people who walked from Witney to Oxford to raise money for Silver Star in appreciation of the care received by their much loved friend and colleague May McCrea who saldy passed away on 28th February 2024 after a short illness.

Before she died, May delivered a beautiful baby boy at 29 weeks old. Thoughout this period, May and Joe were supported by Silver Star and May wanted to give something back for all of the support they have received.

We remind you, again, to be mindful that the data you see is based on real people and real experiences. If you have questions about the data, please DM or email us directly. Please refrain from using harmful language that can upset or hurt other readers.

A note from OUH: February birth statistics have been collated from both Cerner EPR and the new Badgernet digital maternity records. Data has been validated where possible across both systems, however while everyone is learning and adjusting to the new system, the accuracy of statistical reporting is dependent on data entry/capture.

*Note on water births - these include those who birthed in water but do not include those who used the pools during their labour.
