On the last Bank Holiday of 2024 we thought we’d showcase a few of the headboards that rolled off the benches over the last fortnight.

We’ve had some amazing fabrics to work with, we especially love the trim we were asked to use on the edges of the single headboards, there are so many beautiful trimmings available, it just shows the endless possibilities in making a headboard truly individual and special!

Phew! After a hot night, a few pretty pelmets to start off a slightly cooler day, always making sure that the backs are as seamless as the fronts!

It’s been all about the window treatments this week!
We’ve had box, bay and scalloped pelmets and the lambrequin is becoming ever more popular!

Who doesn’t love a pretty floral headboard, it can’t help but bring a bedroom scheme to life!

We’ve had some fabulous fabrics going through the workshop this week, these are just a few that we thought would be interesting to show you!

If you look at the biggest headboard, it has a contrasting fabric on the capped edge, just another way to add that bit of detail to make a headboard extra special!

If you’re of a particular generation you’ll know what I mean when I say that these headboards make me think of Opal Fruits, if you’re a trendy young thing, then think - Starbursts!!!

Lots of lovely summer fabrics rolling off the benches at the moment, if the sun isn’t shining outside, it certainly is in the workroom!

It’s the little details that make all the difference when making a pelmet, whether it’s perfectly pattern matched sections on a bay, double piping or fringes, cutouts for cornices and of course the backs need to be as neat as the fronts!!

On 10th & 11th May we’re really excited to be exhibiting at the very first Design Central UK, Essex at the beautiful Down House.

If you’ve never been to the show before then we can’t recommend it enough for anyone in the soft furnishings trade! It’s a fabulous event showcasing a huge array of fabrics and products where you also have the opportunity of networking with an incredibly talented group of people!

And of course……. we’d love to say hello to you too!!

• And just because it’s a sunny Thursday afternoon, I thought I’d share a lovely olive green deep buttoned headboard with red silk buttons that has literally just rolled off the bench. You can see it was a work in progress first thing this morning!!

• How about a real pop of colour for a Monday! The bedrooms in a lovely hostelry are just about to get a very refreshing upgrade!!

The other two headboards were also finished today, I just love the fabrics on these two, we’re so lucky getting to work with such a diverse range of colours, textures, patterns and designs!

Happy Friday everyone and Happy New Year, I can’t believe that we’re already more than halfway through January! We’ve definitely hit the ground running in 2023!

Anyway! Have you guessed what it is yet yet? We have two ‘humongous’ lambrequins going off to their new home today, the pictures are a little deceiving but these are almost as tall as me!!! Thank goodness we’ve also just had another foam delivery to have something to lean them against! There are a pair of very large windows about to be beautifully framed!

• Happy Sunday everyone! After a plethora of headboards recently I thought I’d share a few pelmets that are wending their way to various homes this week! To use the old adage, the devil is in the detail, it’s as important that the reverse of our pelmets are as neat as the front! One week to go until the man in the big red suit is supposed to visit and we all get to take a breath, roll in the 24th!! •

• It’s great to do something a little different, here are two panelled headboards on their way up to Barnsley tomorrow just in time for Christmas!!

• I can’t believe that we’ve got to Sunday evening again, where on Earth do the days go?! Well after a little ‘Strictly’ and before we see how Matt Hancock and Boy George are getting on in Australia I thought I’d share a few more pieces that we’ve just finished! Have a fantastic week everyone! •

• I hope everyone is managing to get some down time this weekend in the lead up to Christmas! Having just poured a glass of something nice I thought I’d take the opportunity of showing you a few more pictures of some of the headboards that have been finished and wrapped for delivery this week! •

• In amongst the headboards this week we also had this biggie to complete! A 50cm drop box pelmet complete with intricate cut-outs in the returns! Who needs a gym membership when you’re having to upholster beasts like this!!! •

• On this lovely sunny morning (here in Oxfordshire!) I thought I’d show you just a few headboards that we’ve finished so far this week! It’s busy, busy, busy!! Have a great day! •

• We’ve had a rough couple of weeks whereby the whole workshop managed to go down with Covid (that’ll teach us to get on a plane and take a few days off!!) so we’ve been a bit quiet on the picture front! We’re thankfully all now back to full health so I quickly took some pictures before these headboards were spirited away into the van for delivery! •

• A couple more unique shaped headboards to show you today, two of which are in a Taj Mahal style complete with a fab orange fringe around the outside edge just waiting to be released and ‘fluffed’! All these headboards are off to sunnier climes on Thursday, wish we were going with them!! •

•It’s been a little while since we last posted anything, primarily because we’ve been moving to new bigger and better premises and boy was that a challenge! We’re finally in and back up and running….we just can’t find anything but I guess that’s half the fun!

Anyway, can you guess what we’ve been mostly doing this week…………………….?!

This was a masterpiece in head scratching and designing on our CNC machine which has been worth its absolute weight in gold on this project, it would’ve taken light years to make it without it! You’ll have to excuse the pictures because for some of them I was having to take them teetering on a ladder with my head squashed on the ceiling just trying to show a little perspective on the size of it!! We’re thrilled to bits in how this headboard has turned out and can’t wait to see it in its new home! Have a great rest of the week everybody we’ve now got Taj Mahal headboards to make!!

Fantastic vibrant colours in gorgeous velvets……..it’s a………………..it’s a………….

Curved pelmet! We’re really pleased with how this one has come together, the fabrics all sit perfectly in the curve, it’ll be a complete doddle to fit!

• It’s been a very blue day today but only the fabrics, the sun has definitely been shining in sunny Oxfordshire!
We’re so pleased with how these headboards have turned out today, it just goes to show how important it is in choosing the right fabrics, these are just beautiful and absolutely make each headboard!
