Welcome to all our new page likers, thank you 🙏🏻 I’m attending a lovely class in Oxford (UK) At the moment with Lucie Mayer, it’s like the original village hall classes where I originally fell in love with yoga. No lycra, no princesses, no expectations!

Nature 2030: Support our plan to turn the tide for nature by 2030 I'm supporting the plan to restore nature by 2030. Nature in the UK is in big trouble - one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world and yet no political Party has offered a genuine plan to turn that around. Want to see a healthy environment, polluters pay and more space for na...

People often say to me “I can’t do meditation because my mind wanders” But that’s normal!! The trick is to observe and learn how your mind wanders so that you can not be controlled by the wandering.
Set a timer - 5 mins - inhale when the shape expands, exhale when it retracts.
You will probably think thoughts like “I knew this wouldn’t work” “I’m great at this” “this is a waste of time” “why does my boss/friend/partner/child do that thing …” Those thoughts are all normal just watch them happen as if you were in the audience.
You are more than your thoughts 💕

I took a deep dive into this mantra during the summer months. After years of chanting it I enjoyed exploring what it meant to me! yoga
Wise words
The secret to completing something is daily commitment 🙏🏽 It’s day 29 of 40 days of Soul Body for Divinity Yoga 🧘♀️
When we start yoga we experience so many great feelings that we expect it all to be like that and then the ego, the thoughts, the boredom, the distractions, the questioning kicks it and we get taken off path and find ourselves quitting the 40 day commitment! For me it always used to be about day 12 ish 🤪
💚 What happens on the mat is a reflection of how we treat ourselves in our daily lives!
We will all fall off and quit at times but what’s most important is that we have a vision and we recommit to it 🙏🏽

I'm often asked where I get the mantra music which I play in class. This is a great website where you can buy Kundalini Yoga music. It also allows you to select mantras by different focus and find recordings of that mantra https://spiritvoyage.com/
Music For Your Life Whether you're in the mood to dance, bliss out, or meditate, Spirit Voyage offers music for your life. Find and download music for relaxation, meditation, and yoga now.
I used to wake up and have a cup of tea and a cigarette and feel a bit rough, now I have a cup of tea and do sadhana and feel refreshed.
Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice involving some stretches, mindful breathing and meditation. It doesn't have to be long or follow any rules. I tend to sit on my mat and see what I feel like doing. This morning I spent 20 minutes doing some back flexes, twists and folds and chanting along with a mantra.
It takes a bit of practice to overcome the mind's constant analysis; "you're wasting your time", "you're not flexible enough", "what shall we do about global warming" etc etc!! But stick with it, develop an awareness of your thought patterns, and then use your sadhana to focus on your body, breath and spirit.
It's wonderful to be back at the Tara Yoga Centre in Oxford teaching Kundalini Yoga in-person. 💚 A lovely small class today - thank you to the two wonderful yogis who came along and booked a series of 10 classes. We practiced the 'Keep Up Spirit' kriya together 🌺 If you would like to join us next week or if you have any questions about this style of yoga please get in touch 😄
Here’s a great opportunity to dive deeper into Kundalini Yoga. The level 1 course is a wonderful transformational experience and Alla Amanjot Yeates is a fantastic teacher
In the coming years there will be seven billion people living on the planet. The change in technology, psychology and sociology is huge. The chaos of information in the computer age makes it difficult for people to cope with their day to day lives. The body, mind and spirit needs to be organised to meet these natural human phenomena.
Every human, no matter what their religion, face a reality in the future where they will need a strong, healthy nervous system. They will need mental clarity and the back-up of spiritual strength to face this coming world.
Training provides a participant with the opportunity to build a solid foundation to navigate life through all the challenges it brings.
Level 1 training is for everyone - regardless of your experience of Kundalini Yoga. Some people come because they love the yoga and others want to share it through teaching.

Lungs 💚 what amazing organs; drawing in all the oxygen and releasing all the carbon dioxide, on and on they go throughout our lives. A fundamental part of Kundalini Yoga is absorbing the mind in the rhythm of the breath, it helps to stop the incessant thinking and worrying. 😮💨 There are also various pranayamas - breathing exercises - which calm, cool or stimulate the nervous system 🌸 Yoga has more to offer than being bendy! 🧘🧘♂️
