My wall card rack is looking particularly lush at the moment. Penelope Pendragon's pixies have arrived and l have a selection of new cards by and . All cards only £3 each or 4 for £10 ❤️

Last week, l had framing customers from Manchester, Skipton and Todmorden. All had been recommended to Picture House. It's so nice to hear that people are happy to recommend me and that people will travel for good service.
Here are a few slightly different framing options showing canvas float frames in plain black and gold, a simple but effective way of presenting canvases. Also 3D work in shadow box frames will black spacers and art glass.

The late night opening on Thursdays in Padiham seems to have fizzled out a bit, particularly over the summer holidays.
Here at Picture House, we will continue to do as many as possible, but can't always manage to do it every week.
I will post on here when we are staying open until 7pm.

It's lovely working with young artists that understand the value of framing & the positive contribution it makes to their work. This frame with the beaded slip looked impressive on her latest painting. is still only 18 and producing work like this. I look forward to following her arty journey.

New in stock, Autumn Glow by Padiham artist Gill Fox. Gill hasn't painted much for a few years, but she's certainly back with a bang!

Enjoyed framing this limited edition print of Helen Worth aka Gail Tyldesley by . The pink frame was fun & we incorporated her & Joe's signatures into the mount. All finished of with Tru Vue art glass.

The lovely Hettie from The Lawrence Hotel in Padiham looks like a queen in this recent framing job. The canvas print was matt and quite flat looking. After dry mounting, a coat of texture gel brought out the colour & enriched the image. Finished with a regal gold frame. She will be pride of place ar Padiham which has won several awards for being one of the best dog friendly hotels in the UK.

We will be taking part in this scheme. More opportunity for you to visit. 😀

The last few jobs completed before Christmas as presents. My regulars do it to me every year! A marathon medal montage, a signed shirt & a rugby cap. What will you have framed? Back to normal opening hours tomorrow. Look forward to seeing you 😀

One of my lovely customers recently entrusted me with a couple of L S Lowry drawings to reframe. They were both together in one frame and were deteriorating, due to acid in the materials used probably 50 years ago. As they are quite different, we framed them separately, updating with a fresh conservation mount and backing. Also art glass to help with future deterioration. As a life long framer and art collector this was quite an honour!

This week Picture House Padiham & Preston will be open as usual. Weds to Fri 10am - 3pm and Sat 10am - 2pm. We will then be closed until 4th Jan. Pop in for last minute gifts, cards and even the possibility of framing in time for Christmas 🎄
