Check out this before and after of a boiler to heat pump conversion. This is the Daikin Altherma High Temperature Heat Pump with internal hydrobox booster heater, by far the best looking outdoor unit we install. The customer retained their existing cylinder which cut down on the cost and managed to keep all their current radiators due to the high temp rating of the ASHP. Very good overall performance and efficiency rating.

One of the more difficult domestic roofs we've worked on but a nice result none the less.

Can a listed property be retrofitted with an Air Source Heat Pump? Absolutely, but not without it's issues! This property was a tricky one, no holes to be cored through the original building, no holes to be made through internal walls or original floorboards and to make matters more difficult, this property only ever had one plumbed radiator so all new pipework required. We installed a Midea ASHP alongside a Tempest Heat Pump Cylinder and the owners couldn't be happier. (pictures taken before external insulation installed as it was getting dark)

What are Sunamp Thermal Batteries? Thermal batteries in simple terms are a mixture of a combi boiler and an unvented cylinder at 1/4 of the size. In technical terms they provide instantaneous hot water from the reaction of a polymer melting and releasing heat energy, much the same as a hand warmer works. Are they effective? Absolutely, in this scenario we used an Air Source Heat Pump to charge the battery and provide the Central Heating but they can also be linked to your boiler or just run on electric. Great option for tight spaces.
