12 walnut doors and a 12-drawer walnut island awaiting a book-matched marble top.
Aged bronze hardware throughout.

Currently available for immediate dispatch, a 1/1 spalted maple piece.
This has been oxidised with a wire wool and vinegar solution that darkens and silvers the tannins in the wood.

The two boards that make up the top were shaped and mirrored to intertwine before jointing.
There are piano key inlays that stabilise the character cracks and the live edge has been charred as per the Japanese tradition of wood preservation.

Kicking off a very busy week with another look at the 3.5 metre Chef’s Table made for

English Oak book-matched waney edge slabs, a custom computer generated stain to match the flooring, hand turned podium legs with brass sleeves finished with a specific percentage of sheen for spray lacquer. A statement for a breathtaking project.

Another London install this weekend, and an absolute favourite!

A Sunday Stool and an end-of-bed day bench in American Walnut, with the client’s choice of Bouclé fabric.

Loved the courage and commitment shown to the interior design and the choice of furniture to complement this incredible space. An honour to make some of my favourite designs in a different variation.

As usual our collection pieces are available in any wood type, finish or fabric.

Another look at this custom crockery cabinet.
Bi-folding doors, that pivot and slide away into concealing pockets.
Once closed, the waney edge of the centre doors intertwine leaving only enough space for opening.
Once opened the motion detectors set off the linear lighting.
The stain was to match the pippy oak dining table and the bar cabinet that’s being installed with the final items very soon!

You may have noticed a little change..
For a few years we’ve been having issues with another furniture company having the same name as us (equally annoying for them I’m sure). As we reach further and begin to take on larger projects with our ever-growing client base I feel it’s now the right time to launch our rebrand and set ourselves apart.

Based in the Ocean City of Plymouth and Founded in 2017 by Designer and craftsman Oliver, Fosfeen produces and installs bespoke fine furniture and interiors internationally.

Alongside our bespoke projects you will find the Sunday Collection - I am very pleased to say this is in full production and is now being shipped to multiple countries around the world.

Situation in a very special Hyde Park home.

One of several installs this week.

A previous client reached out to ask whether there was an option to re-address the finish on this glass inlay table for all of those high-traffic dinner parties.

In our early days we only offered a ‘signature’ hard-wax oil combination finish - as beautiful as this is it doesn’t protect against hot drinks.

We now offer a hard-wearing professional spray finish that has stood the test in extremely high-traffic environments, such as our Chef’s Table for restaurant Core, By Clare Smyth.

🇺🇸 A custom version of the Sunday Daybed that went to Palm Beach, Florida, just before Christmas 🇺🇸

This variation was in American Walnut with a dark grey Bouclé. The client requested a custom width for extra space.

There are only a very select few furniture makers or suppliers across the country who can source or deliver on a single slab of oak at 3m+ long by 1.2m+ wide! I’m proud to say we are among those who can and have on multiple occasions for projects across the globe.

🦈 Shark Daybed 🦈
Now available on or through direct order.

Inspired by both the fin and the tooth of a Shark, this daybed design sees current production available in Oak, American Walnut and Black Ash.

Pictured in cream bouclé for neutral visualisation, there is no limit to fabric type, wood type or finish.

With the design celebrating nature, every sale of this piece will result in a donation to the who safeguard a future for Sharks.

The glass is custom cut to follow the natural curves of each specific piece of wood, making each cut of glass completely unique.

They had a beautiful 91% linen fabric sent from Paris for their very own 1/1, custom Sunday Bench.

All collection pieces are available in most wood types, fabrics and finishes.

As 2023 comes to a close, I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this year such a special year of growth.
It’s been an honour to showcase a combination of the ideas of our clients’ with our own.

Among many, a 2023 highlight for me was pushing past Designing and Making beautiful furniture for projects in the UK and the Alps, to sending pieces as far afield as the USA, Denmark and Australia.

With such a year of growth, I’d also like to say a thank you to what has now become the small ‘team’ behind what we are producing.
With the team that Alexander & Ellis has now become, no project is too big or too intricate.

Core restaurant, Notting Hill.


There are currently only 138 restaurants on the planet that are 3 Michelin star (out of 15 million +).
Only 8 of these are in the United Kingdom.
Right at the top is a chef called Clare Smyth.
This is called ‘Chef’s Table’, placed in front of the kitchen in her Notting Hill restaurant.

This 3.4m centre piece of live-edge Oak had turned legs with brass sleeves, a computer-generated stain (in the end) to perfectly match the flooring, and a very specific sheen.

Honoured to be a part of this, and thank you to the world class for including us in this project.

Something a little different with this 3 metre piece.

Headed to the French Alps, the idea was to antique / age something brand new to match the aesthetic of the chalet.

After much back-and-forth, the decision was to open the grain with heavy wire-wool for the sake of adding extra, even texture. This was followed by staining, spraying and sitting on a farmhouse style base.

A detail that shouldn’t go unnoticed..

So for this very special project (more revealed soon), we were asked to match the stain to the existing floor - this was eventually achieved with a complete 1/1 custom stain. The feature here, however, is the waterfall jointed table divider that slides up and down the length of table on felt lining to allow segmented parties.

So we’ve had plenty go to the French and Swiss alps but I was extra excited to receive this photo of our first piece to make it to the USA - more importantly New York! 🇺🇸🗽

With the collection growing and gaining some love, we also have a Sunday Daybed heading to a different client in New York, followed by another Sunday Daybed headed to Paris!
