From Ross and myself at Weighbridge, we would like to wish all our guests a very happy New Year. It was lovely to meet you all during our first year and the support has been so overwhelmingly positive we are incredibly grateful! Thank you so much and we look forward to hosting you again in 2024 and beyond. 🥂🙏🎉

I’m so happy to announce that Weighbridge Lodge has been given superhost status on Airbnb after only 4 months. 🎉

Thank you to everyone who has left feedback and we take on board all comments to give you the best experience. They have included:
- hooks to hang the hot tub robes outside by the tub.
- flip flops for the duration of your stay (which match the robes 😉)
- instant coffee available as an alternative

And we are working on some other amazing ideas, as well as general maintenance to keep the lodge looking fresh.

This is Ted! He came to stay with us recently. He was hilarious! I didn’t think I needed to add African Grey parrots to the list of pets we allow in the lodge, but I might do now. We hope to see you again soon Ted! 🦜💗

We still have availability for Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August for the British Firework championships held in Plymouth!
Our little lodge may be out of the town centre but we are next door to the coypool park and ride which runs through the evening to take people to and from the event.
But be warned, once you watch the championship it will ruin you for all other displays 🤩

Our hot tub is tucked away, in its own little space, surrounded by our lovingly grown trees, plants and flowers. In the evening there’s a heavenly mix of jasmine and honeysuckle to help you relax and unwind. The hot tub is a large 5 seater, with lights, powerful jets and built in Bluetooth speakers so you can play your favourite tunes. Bliss.

It’s always bitter sweet when the EA come to cut the grass. The wild flowers and plants really attract the bees and other wildlife. They have left large chunks of the bank this year, which is great.
It’s also good news for all our guests, especially those bringing their dogs. Using our secret river gate, you can stretch your legs and take in the beautiful tidal river. Bliss

Look at our incredible rose crawler growing outside the lodge window! It’s a beautiful bloom of floralness (is that a word). No filter is needed and it makes me smile every time I see it. Gorgeous.

Our first Airbnb review and it’s a whopping 5 stars! We couldn’t be happier! Onwards and upwards!

The lodge is all ready for our next guests. This time of year the roses are in full bloom and we couldn’t resist putting our favourite fragrant rose in the lodge.

We have had a rare weekend free, where the weather has been wonderful, so we have taken the opportunity to get out and do some weeding, keeping the garden looking smart for all our lovely guests. This time of year the garden looks wonderful with the wisteria out and the roses about to explode. Also, this year we have had tiny little grapes on our vine hanging outside the guesthouse. It’s very exciting!

What a glorious morning it was yesterday! We didn’t have any guests booked in until the afternoon. So I took my coffee and the dog for an early morning stroll, along our riverbank. This side of the riverbank is only accessible to us and our guests for these little walks. Happy days.

We are absolutely thrilled with the feedback received from our guests this weekend. What more could we possibly ask for?
This time of year we are working in the garden in preparation for the explosion of growth, colour and fragrance.
