Who are we? We get that all the time…. We’re a restaurant who enjoys cooking with fresh ingredients daily serving up dishes that we’d like to eat. Everything is made fresh to order everyday.

If you get an ingredient as beautiful as this day boat LOCAL blue fin tuna, you don't muck about with it. Seasoned & seared fast in the hottest pan. A good potato & dill pickle salad, some charred greens & dollop of aioli. Finished with virgin rapeseed oil & lemon. Hit the specials last night & sold out. Bosh!!

Stephen Barrett. He has been more than welcoming to us since the first day we opened and you popped in with a bottle of wine to tell us your stories of where it all began for you. The fig tree you planted will hold an even more special place in our hearts now. It was only a couple weeks ago we were sat under the tree together, drinking coffee whilst sharing bread talking about future events to be held at the fig. Remembering the many hours we have spent talking about your travels, life experiences you gained along the way. Advice personal & business. The many wine events we had where you’d bring the community together. We shall hold a glass of wine in your memory Stephen. May you rest in peace. Taken too soon. 💔
Wow we're absolutely blown away to be shortlisted at the for best restaurant again!!! We have been proud to be supporting and be supported by since we opened and can't wait to see what this yrs awards bring. Will it be a hat trick of best restaurant awards? 😲

Lamb breast is slowly cooked in lemon, olive oil, garlic & rosemary, then chilled, pressed & panko crumbed. We then fry until crispy, pop ontop of our pickled red cabbage & celeriac slaw and serve with our tangy salsa Verde. When you bite through that crispy coating to find the tenderest melting lamb, that's when you realise, we ain't figgin around down here 😂👍

Blimey that's a bit figgin nice.....we've been shortlisted for best restaurant at the and we are just over the moon. Well done to our little team who go above and beyond everyday. The awards are on November 12th so be sure to look out for us and a whole load of other south west hospitality venues, producers and suppliers.....& maybe, just maybe we can snag ourselves an early Christmas present 🤞.....good luck everyone!!
