Year 6 have been learning how to code mircrobits in computing lessons - very impressive!

Year 3 really enjoyed their heath trips this week and managed to spot lots of heath plants.

We had a fabulous time visiting our friends in the Oakdale Care Home today.

The children have had a fantastic day today enjoying Aspirations Day. All of the visitors were amazing. The children enjoyed learning about marine insurance and made a floating paper boat. They learnt some amazing entrepreneurial skills and most of the children decided they would like to design something to tidy their room for them! They have designed and created artwork, played the siren on the ambulance, rescued dummies with the fire service, learnt how to train a search and rescue dog, how to lamb on a farm and got to have a go in a BIG truck. Some lucky children got to sing, act and dance with a pro from the West End and others got to go to the lighthouse and see all behind the scenes. Phew! What a great day!

What an inspiring experience with Pros from the Shows today. The children came together from both schools to learn a wonderful routine from Matilda the musical. Daniel Hope , fresh from his role in the Westend musical 'Wicked', taught the children ' We are Revolting Children. ' In a very short period of time, all the children were able to perform this iconic piece to a wonderful standard. It was evident how much they enjoyed this fantastic opportunity. They were also able to explore the acting side , choosing roles such as Lavender and Bruce . We are very proud of every child attending. Not only did they give their all, but their rights respecting behaviour was noticeable to all. We are grateful to Daniel from Pros from the Shows for sharing his expertise with us.

Congratulations to our lovely team member Lindsey Wilson, who is celebrating her 5 year ‘workversary’ with us today.

Year 6 have been working on their algebra skills using Cuisenaire today! They have done brilliantly!

In singing assembly today, the children got the chance to watch and listen to Charlotte Stopps, our piano and string teacher, performing to them.

Year 3 have been enjoying their art this half term and are looking forward to their final painting, on canvas!

Wow! What am amazing Year 6 we have here at Haymoor. Each one of them has made us so proud this SATs week. We also want to say a huge thank you to our incredible PTA for providing breakfast for Year 6 each day of the tests.

Chosen Year 4 pupils, with Year 5 helping to run the event, took part in a Tri-Golf Tournament - coming 1st , 2nd and 3rd!

Year 6 - you have worked so hard and we are all so proud of you. Now is your time to shine!

Our wonderful librarian, Mrs Smith, has put together a lovely display to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Pupils have written notes of thanks on the teacher tree along with teacher inspired books from the library.
