It's fun day at Ladybirds Playschool. A last send of for our school leavers. Thank you to Bilssfullballoonz for the castles and soft play.

Thank you to all those that attended our sports day today, luckily the rain held off for us, the kids done great! Thankyou for also visiting our stalls, we managed to raise £250! This money can now be used for some new resources! We hope you all had a lovely time too 😊

Ladybirds Playschool is officially full we will not have any available places until the beginning of the new school year. Places from September are filling up also. With the summer term very nearly here our going to school cohort has begun forest schools. They started with Exploring, using tools, making mud pies, generally having fun.

We are looking for a Level 3 practitioner to join the Ladybirds Team.

Listening to Radio 5 live this morning. They were talking about the new BSL GCSE to be offered in schools. At Ladybirds Playschool we sign key words along side speech and images to support all children through total communication. Our 2,3 and 4yr olds signed We wish you a Merry Christmas at the end of our Christmas production.

The children loved making the Christmas wreaths and the festive feel was fabulous. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all

Today is 'Universal Children's Day' so we invited Ladybird's Nursery over for an afternoon of games with our residents.
What an absolutely fantastic time we had!
We played snakes and ladders, table top football, table top pinball, snap and the children had so much fun with our sensory objects, especially the cats and dogs, they even remembered our Charlie the Tortoise from their summer visit and said hello to him!🐢
It was so wonderful to see the children and our residents smiling and having fun together! 🥰

Shoeboxes are ready to go tomorrow. Thank you to everyone that has kindly donated items, money and even filled shoe boxes. We are sending 38 boxes.

Again this year we will be making up shoe boxes for a Christmas child. Please if you can make a donation of items or money towards the postage to send them that would be appreciated. It would mean that children who may otherwise not receive a gift will be thought about this Christmas. You are welcome to make your own shoe box to send if you wish or Chris will use the donated items to complete boxes. Last year we sent 25 boxes.The leaflet below for items that can go in the box are attached below. Thank you ❤️

Today was Upton Horticultural Show. Some of our children won awards for the creative art work. Well done to all. 🐞

Ladybirds Playschool returns for the Autumn Term on Wednesday 6th September. We have some limited availability for a September start. Please message or email us if you would like more information about our setting.

When we went for a walk to the park this week the children at Ladybirds were very cross about how much litter we saw. We have updated our art work. 🐞🐞🐞

Could your child be entitled to 15hrs or even 30hrs funded childcare from September 2023? If they turn 3yrs before September 1st then they could be. Some 2yr olds are also eligible for 15hrs funding. Please contact Kerry or Tina on 01202 621570 if you would like to view our setting. We are already filling places for a September start and have a waiting list from January next year.
