We're proud to announce we've partnered up with the The Mary O'Gara Foundation again, this time to organise a lunchtime Hope Walk in Preston to highlight the important issue of su***de prevention.🚶🚶
It takes place on Tuesday 8 October, will centre mainly around Avenham Park, will not take longer than an hour and is approximately two miles long.
Open to everyone, not just staff and students at the University, the walk will begin and end at the University’s Student Centre. Anyone wishing to take part should meet at 12noon for a 12.15pm start.

We are working with local partners to train the next generation of television and film production staff right here in Lancashire. 📽️🙌

The Blackburn with Darwen Screen Strategy will provide young people with the necessary skills in scripted film and high-end television production to connect with the wider industry and support its long-term growth.

The programme will initially focus on Blackburn, supported by our facilities in Preston, and will cover school-age education, further education, and higher education sectors.
