Mrs Small – Tilehurst Village Surgery

Installed a new Ohme car charger 🔌 this week.
Once installed it’s checked for operational use with the customers vehicle and then a EIC certificate, Part P and DNO notification is issued to the client.

This week we had a call out from a client that had a strange smell coming from there fuseboard area.

They had a solar & battery installation last year by other contractors and they suspected it was coming from the consumer unit that was installed.

I used our thermal imaging equipment to identify the meter terminals were loose and were causing arching which in turn cause a high heat spot causing the plastic to melt.

Using the correct investigation equipment has definitely helped prevent any problems in the future.

Danny

Jamie, our apprentice, is moving on to new opportunities.

Jamie joined us three and a half years ago and has proven himself as capable and hard working electrician.

Jamie started with us as a shy teenager and quickly grew into a confident young man who was always punctual and polite and was able to carry out work unsupervised to a high standard.

Many of our customers would regularly comment on how much of a good job Jamie did and it was a pleasure to have him at there home.

What ever the future holds for Jamie I am sure that myself and my clients wish Jamie all the best for the future.

Out with the old and in with the new!!

Another point installed using the OZEV GOV grant scheme and a few additional garden lights.

It’s been another busy day, we’ve installed another EO Charging unit. We are an approved GOV installer so our customer used the OZEV work place charging scheme to claim a grant £350.00
We also installed four external lights.

5 day rewire complete!! Big well done to Jamie the apprentice he’s going to be a great Sparkie!!

We’ve had another busy week with a consumer unit replaced, a condition report, and fire alarm safety checks.

We’ve been carrying out maintenance works at Tilehurst Village Surgery over the last 6 months. We have replaced all there ceiling lights for a LED version and carried out EICR report to make sure the electrical installation is safe.

This week we have been installing a smart home system using at a job in Purley. We carried out a consumer unit replacement for in Tilehurst. We carried out an EICR for AD Maintence Services.

We’ve had a busy week this week. We installed two separate meter boxes and ran 25mm supply’s in metal trunking for two flats.
A couple of consumer unit changes. Three EICRS for a landlord.
Jamie the apprentice tested one of the flats all by himself so well done Jamie 👏.

This house was extended and a complete refurbishment carried out in Goring with Tower Carpentry & Renovations Ltd.
Complete Rewire with new LED lighting throughout, controlled using a mixture of dimmer switches toggle switches. New external lighting provided and also additional power for some future lights.
New kitchen power to ovens, hob and sockets finished using Click Deco range.
Network points were installed in the office.
We installed a supply for a future EV charge point.

For all of our new builds, rewires and refurbished projects we give our clients a O and M manual. Inside are the electrical certificates, Part P notifications and warranty’s.
