A couple of weeks ago Fourbears hosted our first Young Adult Book Club, aimed at children aged +14.

Book Group is on Friday at 10.30am. I'm not too sure why it disappeared from the website, but it is happening, and it's back on the website now.

We are at Pangbourne College Christmas fair today. Come and speak to us about our Book Subscriptions. It's very Christmassy here. So many great stalls!

Late night shopping in Caversham, also known as Cavmas is coming. We have a Reverse Santa at the shop at 5.30. Bring along a new or as new toy for Santa to redistribute to less fortunate children via Reading Family Aid. Lots of stuff happening in Caversham.

FOURBEARS FEST IS COMING BACK IN MAY 2025!! Keep the date free and an eye out for author announcements and we hope to see you there!

This weekend's Children's Book Group for ages 9-11 has a special guest. Illustrator Lewis James is leading an Illustration special session. Lewis also attended the 5-8 book group earlier in the month and it was a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing what he does with the slightly older group.

This month's theme is all about The Big Draw and getting children drawing and being creative. Thank you to Lewis for giving his time.

Meet Tom Mead as we discuss his three books all set in the 1930s where a locked room mystery needs to be solved, so the police ask a famous illusionist for his assistance. These are lovely books for cold nights especially if you like a good old mystery to think about.

We love them and can't wait to talk to Tom tonight.
