With the dropping temperatures we've now got more seating in our indoor areas.

Our cafe is open daily, Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 16:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 15:00, serving Tea & Coffee, a variety of Cakes & Muffins and for lunchtimes we are serving Sandwiches, Toasties, Quiche, Soup of the Day, Sausage Rolls, and from tomorrow we will have a selection of Paninis.

Loving the Autumn colours outside - the contrast is spectacular.

What a little gem of a statement piece. The unusal Euphorbia Trigona, or the African Milk Tree as it is commonly known, is an easy care succulent that originates from West Africa. Say yew-forb-ee-ah try-goh-nuh.

It makes a gorgeous architectural addition to rooms, with it's upright stems and ridges of leaves and thorns. They are a lovely mix between cactus and succulent. Interesting fact: the name Trigona relates to it's stems which have three distinct sides, creating a triangular effect.

They prefer bright lighting and are drought tolerant for short periods. Avoid lower temperatures and draughts. Put them out of reach for little ones or pets, on a bookcase or shelf, as they contain sap which is unpleasant and an irritant and they have thorns, but if you can live with those negatives it is an adaptable houseplant that will definitely add some texture placed alongside some unusual ceramics as pictured here and if you follow basic and simple care instructions it will provide all year interest.

It's Autumn time and definitely jumper weather! If you're looking for a great combination why not go for a flared jean with a nice jumper, layered with a long waistcoat and a gorgeous leopard print scarf.

Now this is a nice view that I captured on my walkabout in the plant area today. Autumn has well and truly arrived - the Hydrangea, Ilex, Weigela and Jasmine are showing us their beautiful Autumn colours. With the sun making an appearance it's a stunning contrast to the blue skies.

We have some beautiful textured ceramics in our Vintage Garden Room collection right now, that would look incredible with flowers in, or equally as nice without. They'd make great statement pieces in your home, on a sideboard, shelf, table or bookcase.

Zucchini and Lime cake is a new offering in The Terrace Café this week - be prepared for a little zingy burst of lime in your mouth, it's very nice 😋 🍰

As per the recent announcement of the State Funeral for HM Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday 19th September, as a mark of respect we have taken the decision to close our garden centre on this day. We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 20th September.

It's so nice to see how far things come - a throwback to when this area was still being worked on. Now it's full of some really lovely stock.

There is no missing or mistaking these trees with their striking red leaves. When the sun is shining it's a beautiful contrast to the blue skies....equally stunning on a cloudier day with that pop of red. 🍁😍
