NCS came in on Monday to present to our Year 11’s! NCS is an opportunity that helps 15–17-year-olds (Year 11 and 12) to build skills for work and life, take on new challenges, meet new people and make a difference in their local community

It's been busy in the Library this week. Book club have been reviewing science books for The Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize and today, a smaller panel will finish collating the results and choose our winner to send off to them.
Wednesdays are not just Whispering Wednesdays at lunchtime but are also silent reading time. No computers, no homework, just silently reading your book and it was our busiest lunchtime yet in the year - a tranquil, calm midweek space in a busy week at school.

Happy New Year!! This week we resume our house assemblies with a focus on Keller – our theme for the week is Change. Alongside the assembly led by Miss R and student leader for Keller, students will also be gaining a better understanding of braille in their PD session at the end of the week

It's been a busy few weeks!
We wish a very Happy Christmas and a healthy peaceful new year to all our wonderful supporters; parents, carers and the local community (Shinfield View Care Home, Parsons Grange care home, Henry Street Garden Centre, Arborfield British Legion, Reading Family Aid to name a few) who have contributed to the lives of our students this term.

We dressed our Christmas tree (kindly donated by Henry Street Garden Centre) for the Christmas Tree Festival at Shinfield St Mary’s Loddon Reach Benefice today. You can see it and the other fabulous trees all next week on display in the church!
