Tonight from 8pm, Jam Night is back at The Palmer Tavern. Bring your instrument, your voice, your family and your mates for a cracking evening of live music. Come early to register to play as it gets busy, so first come, first served.

Afternoon all, I just need to clear something up about allowing children in the pub and to show you a copy of our license (for now) as lots of people don’t know the law.
There are no blanket restrictions for the presence of children in pubs. However, it's an offence to allow unaccompanied children under 16 on premises primarily used for alcohol sales between midnight and 5am. Pubs may have their own policies regarding children, often influenced by their licence conditions​​.
Now (OUR) policy is
We allow children until 8pm UNLESS your family is coming for something to eat, if it’s late sports event and special events, parties etc etc BUT after 8pm they need to be seated at all time (other then toilet trips)
We WILL challenge 25 so we encourages anyone who is over 18 but looks under 25 to carry acceptable ID (a card bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving license or a passport) if they wish to buy alcohol.

I posted this a few weeks ago now and I’ve had some feedback that other venues locally are changing extortionate prices for you to advertise your products! The money made here will be going to macmillan Cancer research and this is supposed to be for the local community not a money making scheme! Don’t get caught out folks, come here instead and let’s have some fun!
I’ll be holding a Christmas fate in the carpark and inside on Sunday 1st Dec and Sunday 15th Dec from 10am-3pm and I’m looking for small, working from home local businesses that would like to have a spot? Maybe you make children’s toys, Candles, Christmas decorations, Jewellery, Personalised gifts, Advent calendars, stocking fillers, pets gifts, sweet hampers and all the usual Christmas  knickknacks? Would you like the opportunity to showcase your pieces, increase sales and advertise your business? Well you can do that with us! I will have 17 spaces in the carpark and 7 spaces inside both weekends and it will only cost you £10 (outside) £12 (inside) which will be donated to macmillan Cancer support. All bookings can be taken via Facebook and instagram private message or pop in and speak to a member of the team, remember we have limited spaces so get your bookings in quickly so you don’t miss out. And to everyone else that is looking to buy gifts for friends and family then please visit us on those days and have a good look around 😊 once I’ve got all bookings complete I will then advise each and everyone’s business so please send business names and what it is your selling so the public know what to expect.

We have lots of fun ahead of us ladies in the next few weeks, 3 birthday parties, gender reveal, all wanting a buffet after seeing the pictures from the christening we done, freshers week uv party, open mic, Jam night, lots and lots of football and sports, and the students are starting to come back, we’ve already had lots of you popping in to say “we’re back!” And some new faces saying “we’ve heard great things about this place” and leaving with conformation that, IT IS A GREAT PLACE! So we are feeling very humble and appreciate all your kind words.
Oh not forgetting the landlady’s birthday party on Saturday 7th sept, and remember bring a item beginning with “S” and the more outrageous the better! A prize for the funniest item.
