Jane is in Japan at the moment as a Visiting Professor at Kobe Gakuin University. Here she is, presenting at Kyoto Prefectural University, and having lunch with Prof Michiyo Yamaguchi and student Yu Pingcheng.
Congratulations Yi Ru (Jeremy) on the successful defence of his PhD thesis today, with minor corrections! Here he is with (L-R) Internal Examiner Prof Rodney Jones, (on the PC) first supervisor Prof Jane Setter, External Examiner Dr Ying Wang (Southampton), and second supervisor Dr Tony Capstick. The title of his thesis is "The Effectiveness of Teaching English Pronunciation with Lingua Franca Core Goals to Chinese Adult Learners".
