A group of 23 undergraduate students of Business Administration visited the University of Reading during February and March 2016 for a short course in English Language and Business Studies.
This is the third time a similar group has visited from Soka University. The students clearly built their confidence in speaking English while in Reading, as shown during their presentation sessions at the end of the course. The group spent a day at the Greenlands campus where they received a workshop from Chris Dalton of the Henley Business School, an expert in Management Learning.
They also visited Waitrose in Bracknell to hear about the John Lewis approach to doing business (through ‘partners’, not ‘employees’). There was time for sightseeing trips, including London, Oxford, and a nice afternoon in Reading, as can been seen from the photo.
ISLI were very happy to host this group of fun and friendly students!

For the second year running, an undergraduate group from Tohoku Fukushi University in northern Japan came for a short course at the University of Reading in English Language plus primary/nursery education, during February and March 2016.

The students spent the mornings learning English, especially focusing on building confidence in speaking. They visited local schools and nurseries in order to observe early-years educational methodology in England, in order to compare this to Japanese approaches, this being the focus of their undergraduate study. They also had time to visit Oxford and London.

ISLI were very happy to host such keen students!
