𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

Alhamdulillah the students from 𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗕 dedicated their Islamic Studies classes towards the Seerah competition.

Students took part in creating models of 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗷𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘄𝗶 and posters about our 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 (SAW).

We make dua that Allah accepts their efforts.

Rochdale Islamic Academy held a Well-Being summer workshop, which was based around connecting with nature and learning about the sunnah of food.

This Well-Being workshop promoted taking care of the environment and the self.

The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said to me: 'Whoever revives my Sunnah then he has loved me. And whoever loved me, he shall be with me in Paradise.' (Tirmidhi: 2678)

Students took part in the following activites:

Planting small trees and flowers 🌿🌺

Creating a school garden 🌿

Using Sunnah foods for better health. 🥒

Cooking class:

*healthy pizza*
*fruit cheesecakes*

Creating displays based on Sunnah foods 🍉

Alhamdulillah, Masha'Allah and well done to students that attended, for all the hard work they put in. 🙏

Rochdale Islamic Academy for Boys were given a superb recycling session last weekend.

They made a pledge to use refillable bottles and learnt about our food heroes and saw our garden/waste recycling wagon in action.👏♻️

Fact of the day

This week our head of Pastoral care and Well-Being delivered some interactive sessions based on mental health resilience and Islam for the students.

(It is imperative to take note that Muslim physicians and philosophers of the past, such as Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Zakariya Al-Razi and Abu Zayd Al-Balkhi, acknowledged the reality of mental illnesses and advocated for a balanced approach to well-being by integrating both psychological and physical aspects of health)

Research has shown an alarming increase in the number of children and teenagers who experience mental health issues, the pressure is mounting for schools and educational leaders to provide adequate support so students can overcome any issues and go on to live healthy, normal lives. 
 
Integrating mental health education into the curriculum will increase knowledge and understanding of those experiencing difficulties, removing any stigma or social misconceptions and replacing these with an atmosphere of positivity and acceptance. This in turn would greatly benefit the lives of students experiencing problems and potentially even reduce their symptoms, InshaAllah.

Our students really enjoyed learning about this subject and were eager to acquire more knowledge about this topic. Alhamdulillah.
