Self care September......
This September Action for happiness has launched a list of suggestions day by day for some self TLC, it's common for us to care about other's wellbeing and nice too of course but often enough we forget about our own, we must look after ourselves too!
Save the below and give one or two of the suggestions a try during this self care September.
Keep smiling, W&T
Next walk, 8th September that's this Sunday!
We'll meet at the Hope and anchor as always but with a different end point, I'm aware many have discussed the coffee and prices etc so we have taken that on board and we will discuss a change this week.
We do also have some ideas in the pipeline where we may have some support for a venue in Ross, if that is successful it could also give us a location for a coffee and a chat after walks along with a winter location to if we cant walk, it may also open us up to joint working with a local group, we will update on that when we know more,
Watch this space and See you Sunday.

Help is never far away,
Help comes in many forms and the Samaritans is just one of those ways, available day and night you can call 116 123 from a phone and there will be someone there to listen.
It doesn't stop there though. Sometimes it can be difficult to talk on the phone, with the Samaritans you can also write your thoughts and feelings in an email, letter, face to face and soon Web chat.
It's good to talk, and important to do so too, we don't talk enough, just one conversation can make all the difference.

Have a grest walk and breakfast chap ð
I've been watching this chaps movement for some time now and agree it's very sad to see the lack of just saying hello.
You may recall I said a while ago, when walking around try saying hello to someone in passing, it feels great can bring a smile to someone and have an ever lasting positive effect to when someone may be at a low point, something so small can make a change.
Give it a go when your next out JUST SAY HELLO.
Just say hello
Wildlife joy,
Along our walks not only do we have some great conversations but we also see some beautiful and wonderful Wildlife that brings a smile to our faces and some joy to our walks, we've seen lots of Deers too.
We are a mens only group and all men are welcome on our walks, we hold them every fortnight on a Sunday, meeting at 9.30am at the The Hope and Anchor - Ross On Wye coffee hut.
Walks generally last around 2hrs but some walks have been known to be 2.5 to 3hrs and range from 7km to10km or just one more field, returning to the Coffee hut for a cuppa and a chat.
Fancy a walk and a chat ? Our next walk is Sunday 14th of July.
See you there.
Ps feel free to share the post and let your friends know about the group ð

Walking Apps, We need some advice!
We're looking for the ultimate walking app or site to help us plan our walks and find new routes, but with so many out there we thought best to ask for recommendations.
We currently use the free version of footpaths map and do find it useful so looking to upgrade to the full version https://footpathmap.co.uk/ but just want to check what's out there before we do.
What are we looking for,
Footpaths , bridleways and by ways
Walking routes and circleur (may need a 2nd app)
Pin point distance planning
Download for offline use and save
Live location
Share location
Navigation via sound ( not a must)
We're thinking footpaths map is the best option currently but it doesn't have an app so can sometimes be difficult.
Suggestions welcome and appreciated ð
Keep smiling,
Daniel and the Gents

The Weather's looking good for tommorw, we've just learnt that it's fathers day too, how did we miss that!
For those of you who will be enjoying the day with family, we wish you a very super day ð , if you find yourself having a difficult time during your day don't forget you can drop into the The Chill out room for a friendly message chat, or you can drop into the DMs on what's app.
Have a great evening and Sunday Chaps
A quote from one of our chaps,
We talk about many feelings and experiences while at walk and talk, all that's spoken is kept confidential unless it's asked to be passed on or agreed it can be shared for purposes of help and support.
"I have been having a difficult time, walk and talk has been brilliant for me, being able to talk to other men not within my family or close friends, somewhere I can really let go, relax and talk about my feelings, which has given me the strength to talk to my family and friends"
NEXT WALK - Sunday 16th June 9.30am.
Yep that's this Sunday, all gents welcome, talking not compulsory if you feel like just a walk that's just fine, sometimes putting one foot in front of the other is enough but we are all there and friendly and ready to listen if you do.
Any routes are welcome as always but we will plan one too just incase.
Spread the word ð
