Achy or 'Tin Man' like joints?
One of the biggest complaints of people in their 40s and up in my clinic is about their joints.
And, yes, when you have joint discomfort, it certainly can make it much harder to do the things you love, such as gardening or jobbing. It can make you feel like an “old grandpa” or “old grandma,” even if you’re just in your 40s, 50s, or 60s.
I’m sure you know how they feel, and one easy way to sum it up is like having “TIN MAN JOINTS.”
Because it really is just like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz whose creaky joints made life much harder for him.

However, the REALLY GOOD NEWS is there’s finally an easy way to address it that most people never realize!

#1. The science surrounding Glucosamine and chondroitin, the most common nutrients in joint supplements, is mixed.

And what’s more, one meta-analysis -- which is basically a statistical review of multiple studies on a given topic -- concluded that glucosamine, chondroitin and the two in combination did not provide joint comfort relief when compared to placebo
Why would you want to settle for such a hit or miss approach when you don’t need to?
#2. A common practice among some joint supplements is “fairy dusting.” This is when the right ingredient is added to a supplement, but in such an insignificant amount that it won’t help you.

Tried all popular back pain treatments but still struggle with pain?
Over 30 years of working as a Physio I have heard this story almost weekly. And there is a good reason why!
The cause of 99% of all back pain conditions I have seen have one thing in common... Muscle Imbalances.
In my previous post I discussed 'muscle imbalances' are almost always the TRUE CAUSE people develop back pain!
These muscle imbalances can create 4 main types of what is known as 'Physical Dysfunctions', one of them is known as the 'Forward Tilted Pelvis' Physical Dysfunction, the most commonly seen.
When I say muscle imbalances, opposing muscle groups are out of balance, meaning one side the muscle group has become dominant versus the opposing muscle group not doing enough work.
The common approach with back pain is getting people to strengthen their core and that should solve their pain...
So why do most people still have pain eventhough they put a lot of work in strengthening their core?
And especially those with 'Forward Tilted pelvis' dysfunction (muscle imbalances specific for this dysfunction) usually tell me it only got worse!!
As a generic approach to strengthening the core, people are told to do lots of PLANK EXERCISES, but...
With a 'Forward Tilted Pelvis' dysfunction one of the muscle groups that is overly dominant are the HIP FLEXORS!
During plank exercises the hip flexors have to work hard to hold the position, thus malking the already dominant hip flexors even more dominant.
With it the structures already under incorrect stress day to day come under even more incorrect stress, thus more pain!
Work on your core but avoid the plank exercises...
BUT you can do the 'reverse plank' as does not involve activity of the HIP FLEXORS!
And keep in mind there are other muscles that are either not working enough or are too dominant. Always start only working on the muscle groups that need to get stronger, then the dominant/tight muscles naturally become less tight.
