I have loved painting since I was a child. Opening a new tin of coloured crayons was so exciting and I have never lost that excitiment.
I used my teaching in English, Art and drama to work with teenagers at risk in Sheffield, and began to develop my own art again when I took redundancy in 2010.
I love to challenge myself with different materials and themes- ranging from broken bus shelter glass, lead, stone, brick, rusty metal, and everything in between- as well as acrylics and oil crayons.
I am often asked why I sell my art work so cheap & the answer is- my parents could never afford ORIGINAL paintings, nor could the families I worked with......
so, I want YOU to have original paintings. I never take prints off them & I love the idea of them being around for years to come- long after me lol
